I like the David’s Bridal dress more. With the first dress, the way the fabric falls from the waist looks like it can almost make a woman look pregnant.  It kinda poufs out a little at the stomach.  The DB one falls flat, which I think is more flattering on pretty much any figure.

The DB one is so flattering on you -I love it!

I actually prefer the DB dress. It looks gorgeous on you and perfect for a rose garden ceremony. I like the way it falls to the floor from the waist. It’s very elegant. Personally I’m a have to try it on kind of girl, so I would really struggle to buy something so important without trying it first.

If you really like the allure though, can you afford to buy both if you get the allure and don’t like it once it arrives, or is that out of your budget? You could always try to re-sell it if it arrived and you weren’t happy.

I definitely prefer the Davids Bridal dress. I think the skirt looks much nicer with that hem line rather than the choppy hemline of the Allure. It also looks good on you in that picture – it’s a good neckline and flattering waist detail for you.

They are pretty similar in shape and outline though, so if you’re really sold on the Allure you could take a risk on it based on the DB dress. Particularly given the price difference, and any dress will probably need some alterations.

DB for sure. I am usually ALL about Allure dresses, but that one reminds me of high school homecoming/prom dresses with all the different length layers.

risetograce:  I love the chiffon but I like the shape of the DB dress on you.

Can you try another dress? DB has this chiffon dress that I think would look absolutely fabulous on you. It’s V9743. I looked at it and passed it up but the consultant had me try it on and it is so ethereal on. Super comfy. I think it would be exactly what you are looking for in both dresses.

I love the DB dress the best. I sure hope the bride in the first pic didn’t end up with that dress. It’s a lovely dress, but not flattering in that picture.

i believe in the rule that you should never, ever buy a dress that you haven’t tried on. but i don’t know . . . i really love the allure one more, and since you know how you look in that shape of dress i feel like it’s less of a risk than if you had never tried anything on in that shape.
