So over the past few months I have been dress shopping several times and come up empty handed..so maybe a few opinions will help me out. I have kind of narrowed it down, but am still in between what I want. Everyone keeps telling me I have time and not to worry but I can’t help but worry now that the wedding is next year. I know I have plenty of time yea yea, but I’m the type of person to get this type of stuff out of the way early. Help me out a bit please! Leave me a few comments on what you feel looks best, theres about 6 or 7 dresses I have pictures of. I only have front and back pictures of the dresses I was absolutely in love with. I’ll add a poll so please leave me your feedback, it is greatly appreciated!! 🙂
#1 This MS dress is so far my absolute fav! I have lost a few lbs since i tried this on so in the stomach area it will be fitting me differently. And when looking at the chest area please don’t mind my chest popping out, they said they would have to adjust the top to properly fit my larger chest.
#2 Going in a complete different direction! Another one of my top picks.
#3 I love the ruffles on this one.
#4 A dress that everyone seems to like but me. I feel like it is too young looking.
#5 The dress the fi picked out when looking online…also one of the first dresses I ever tried on 🙂
#6 The dress my future mother in law picked out..
And #7! What I like to call the “wild card” because its very different.
So what do you think?? Please let me know! 🙂 Sorry if the pictures were large I didn’t get a chance to size them. 🙂 Thank you in advance!

Number 5 is soooo flattering on you! Love it!

FI has good taste if he picked 5. I love it on you!

I really like four. I think four is the prettiest and looks the best on you. I don’t think it looks too young. Is the bow making you feel that way? I think it looks sophisticated in a Grace Kelley kind of way but if you don’t feel it then don’t settle just because everyone liked it.

I chose 5. I also really like 4 though. Maybe you can swap out the ribbon and bow for a nice blingy belt. I think that would dress it up a lot and make it look more elegant and sophisticated.

I like number 3 first and number 1 second. 5 is flattering on you, its just not my type, so I dont think much of it.

I love all of them, and no matter which one you choose you will look lovely. Personally I loved four..Because it is so flattering.I love the view of the back in the mirror!!!

#5 and #3 are very flattering.
But honestly, the wedding is a year away so I wouldn’t settle.
I tried on an insane amount of dresses at DB right when I was first engaged. Like you, I really liked a lot of them but I couldn’t choose.
Then I took a few months off from dress shopping and started over again at a completely different shop. 3 dresses in and I found The One. I always heard about those “moments where the bride becomes a bride” on thsoe cheesey wedding shows, but I never knew it actually happened. As soon as I put on the dress I didn’t want to take it off. I had (and have) no doubts about it.
My advice- look until you find THE ONE. The one where you start crying and have an “OMG I’m getting married moment.” Then Stop. You;ll just confuse yourself if you keep looking at more dresses

I agree with PP, if you have been this indecisive it would probably be best to wait (yes your wedding is technically “next year” but it is still over a year and a half away!) Otherwise, chances are you are going to end up on these boards with dress regret!!

I’m just like you and bought my dress right after getting engaged. I had “the moment” and it wasn’t even a competition for the other dresses. That being said, I know some women never get that feeling. However, this is too early.
i like number 6

I agree that it is very early to make a decision, but on the other hand I have the type of personality that “if your on time your late, you have to be 15 minutes early to be on time”, so for me being a year and a half out isnt that much being that normally I’ve been told people purchase dresses a year in advance. Thank you for your opinions i greatly appreciate them!
That being said, my absolute fav was dress #1 I fell in love with the vintage feel and the feminine feel. I am very partial to straps on a dress just because of my chest, i have gone through the “the dress will be fitted to you” speech several times with people but mentally I feel more comfortable in a dress with straps. When I put this dress on it felt right, matches my theme and personality so well. I tried it on then put some other dresses on and went back to this dress as a second try, still loved it.
When I put on the second dress it felt very princess-y with out being out of control.
The third was a dress the consultant picked on her own just by the judgement of my liking ruffles. I loved the way it fit my shape but I was not too crazy about it making me feel very ritzy. I felt like it was very very classy and thats the only part that threw me off.
#4 is a dress I loved in the store but after seeing pictures I began to hate it. I am a young bride and I feel like this makes me look very young. It is elegant in a simple way, that I like but again makes me feel much younger.
#5 I put on just for “shits”, I liked the shape and the cut, but I was not too fond of the way I had to walk in the dress.
The 6th one was another top pick in the first trip to look at dresses, but what turned me away from this dress honestly was the fact that I was told I would be ordered a dress. I would have had to take the one right off the rack 🙁
And 7 was just a dress I saw and thought looked neat, so I tried it.. and I was very much in love with the bow across the top.
As you can see there are things I like about every dress but there hasn’t been one that has it all. The only dress I felt had a bit of everything I had ever imagined, was dress number one.

@DunnToBe1025: Go to other stores, then go back and try on that 1st one again
