Hi Bee! I say ROCK your first dress ; ) Embrace the baby bump and look sexy in your gown! As soon as I read your dilemma- I though of Bethenny Getting Married and remembered how sexy she made it look- and then again she was like 3 weeks away from giving birth! You will look fine- you will make it sexy. However if you don’t feel confident in it- then it will look akward- when it comes down to it- whatever makes you feel confident will be the best choice.

The only problem would be is that you did not order the dress for pregnancy.  You were not able to anticipate the size you might be by the time your wedding came around.  I’m sure Bethany Frankle ordered big and they tailored it to her new size.  You need to ask the seemestress if it will accommdate the baby bump at the time of the wedding.  If you can then I would wear your dream dress.  If not you are going to have to find a way to get the other dress.

Have you considered taking your dress to a local consignment shop? I know there is a big one in San Francisco. Maybe you can even buy your dress there. I don’t know where you are in CA. I bought my dress from a consignment shop, but I really needed to go to a store and try on dresses, so I couldn’t just order online.

I was thinking of Glamour Closet. http://glamourcloset.com/closet/index.asp However, in looking at their website I can’t tell if they will only take dresses from stores, like samples, or also take from individuals. My local store sells dresses from individuals. Anyway, it’s worth checking their for your new dress at least.

The way consignment generally works is they take your dress and if they sell it you get some % and they get some %. Glamour Closet says 50/50 on their website. They will price it at what they think they can sell it for, though you can always tell them a price. It’s a gorgeous dress, and since it’s never been worn you might get quite a bit.

Try http://cherishedweddinggowns.com/

or this place looks like high-end consignment and might be perfect – http://www.bellamiabride.com/html_ver/text_section.php?curr_page=1&sec_id=24

If they sell it for 70% of retail and you get 50% of that, it’s still not too bad.
