Hi everyone! I am new to these boards but have been lurking around for dress advice 🙂
Made a very impulsive decision about a dress during my first visit to try on dresses. I can’t decide if I love it or if I’m dissapointed that I didn’t get a chance to try on something that might be more…breathtaking.
We have put down 1/2 the price of the dress, veil and alterations. Overall it was a very good price becuase the dress is a sample sale or whatever it’s called. I’m attaching a couple photos. What do you all think? I can’t decide if I love the bow or not…anyone have a link to any other brides in this dress??
Should I try on more dresses or not? I’m going back to the store tomorrow to try it on since it is already there..hopefully I will fall in love with it more this time. If not I have a couple more dresses I might try on.
What do you think? Is it stunning enough?? Ahh! Buyers remorse sucks!

I think you look absolutely beautiful and it is a gorgeous dress, but I’d remove the bow.

It’s a gorgeous dress that looks beautiful on you.
I also bought my dress after the first trip out and had a few “what if there were something more exciting that I missed?” regrets, but I think it’s normal to wonder if the grass is greener.
If you feel beautiful in it, it’s comfortable, and you’ll be happy to see it in your photos in 20 years, I would say stop fretting and move on to other decisions like accesories, a veil, shoes…
Trying it on again might help too – I have chronic worry that my dress is actually salmon pink (I know this is idiotic, given that it is a warm ivory). Taking the dress out of the bag and sometimes putting it on helps remind me that I’m worrying over nothing.

I think the dress looks great on you. Trying it on again will probably make you remember why you bought it in the first place.

It looks fabulous on you!

It’s very pretty, but I would also ditch the bow. Maybe add a blingy sash?

I think it’s a very lovely dress, but you should be sure it’s the one so you don’t go through dress regret…. 🙂

i agree with the bow, and add a blingy sash to give it some pizzazz

The dress looks great on you, but the bow has got to go…maybe add a really sparkly broach or something to add a little more bling.

I think it’s lovely on you. I’d leave it the way it is, maybe remove the bow?
Wish I could pull of a dress like that 🙂

Wow thank you everyone for your responses! I actually went back about a month ago and tried the dress on again. The seamstress came around and was listening to me go back and forth about the bow…and she clipped it off right there! I felt instantly better about the dress. Here is a photo:
It obviously needs to be taken out a little in the hips–that’s my next ‘worry’ spot with the dress! The seamstress (or whatever you call them!) said she would make it fit me perfectly..I hope this is true. But overall I love it. Trying it on again, while I was alone, made me feel a lot better about my decision.
Thanks again for the responses 🙂 Here is my question though: Should I worry that the dress will have to be let out a bit in the bottom? Has anyone else had to have the dress let out in certain areas?
