When Mr. Watermelon proposed we decided to have a quick engagment and set our date for 6 months later. My reasoning was why wait when we own a house together and have been together over 3 years.
However it wasn’t until I made our first appointment to try on dresses that I realized how quick that was. Every place I went said you must decide quickly in order to have time to alter. No pressure right?
So I fell in love with the simplicity of Jenny Yoo and decisevly bought the Mackenzie dress. See pic:
I will be picking up the dress in 2 weeks and am freaking out. Is it rightl for an outdoor wedding? Is it enough of wedding dress? Am I just having a momentary bridal freak out?
I keep seeing all these lacy, full dresses and rethinking my dress. I woke up thinking about this and couldn’t fall back asleep. Has anyone eles had this problem?
I really love the dress but I am questioning if it feels special enough. Bees I need some love here.Any words of wisdom?

I think your dress is beautiful! I also think it’s perfect for an outdoor wedding, and yes it looks wedding-y enough! I really love how classic and timeless it is and I think that you’ll feel beautiful in it on your wedding day and you’ll also still love it years down the road!

Seriously, I think you are “just having a momentary bridal freak out”.
I am sure you will look very beautiful in your gown. Just remember how you felt when you picked it out, and stop looking at other gowns!!!
I know that is easier said than done. I have to keep telling myself to stop looking, but you just have to try.

Thank you ladies for your encouragment. I got my dress and while I don’t have that “this is the dress I love it” feeling. I do think it is perfect for me. It fits beautifully and for our simple outdoor wedding it is very appropriate. Add a hair piece by Twigs and Honey and I think I will love it.

Very classic and wonderful for an outdoor summer wedding. Are you adding earrings? 🙂

I think it’s perfect for an outdoor wedding. A wedding dress doesn’t have to be weighed down with 73,098 crystals or rhinestones to be beautiful. This dress is really elegant and understated.

I did the same thing… I ended up getting a different dress, but that is just me. It was keeping me up every night and my fiance told me he would pay for another dress if I shut up about it. lol
Whatever you do make sure you end up with the dress of your dreams… if you don’t you will regret it. It sounds like we had a very similar predicament.
I hope you find a solution that makes you happy on your big day!

Everyone has doubts, it’s all because “you only get to wear a wedding dress once and there’s so many options!”
Your dress is gorgeous, and it’s a great fit for an outdoor wedding!

that dress is perfect for an outdoor wedding and as long as you love it and feel good in it.
I have more than one dress and now that I’ve thought about other things to consider I ended up purchasing one that I really am excited about. I agree with the other bee’s…..the freak out factor is because of we only get to wear it once and it has to be thee best.
I’m sure you’ll look fabulous in the dress…..Congrats!
