I had 2 dresses made very very similar to the ones above. I tried Dress B on recently and realized it was uncomfortable to walk in. It has a huge 4 ft train. Its a more ‘traditional’ wedding gown and we are getting married in a church.
I treid Dress A on after words. This dress was actually the reason I was dress shopping in the first place. It seemed simply yet elegant and perfect for my spring time wedding. I love how it looks on me, it has an empire waist. Its light and I can totally go to the bathroom without any help.
My mother and I are now clashing over what I should wear. I now want to wear Dress A. She is doing and saying anything she can to get me to wear dress B, including telling me I look 5 months pregnant in dress A.
It hurts, and I don’t want to disappoint anyone, but I want to be comfortable.
So Bees, I guess I’m asking, which would you choose and why?

I LOVE the first dress!!!!!! So original and flowing – must fit so well!!!!!!! Is it chiffon? Mine is 🙂

I love dress A. It’s hard to clash with your Mom over what to wear, but it should be your decision. Is there any way you can wear Dress B for the ceremony and then change into Dress A for the reception?

I LOVE dress A – and it is you that is wearing it so it should be your call!

Do you have pictures of yourself in the dresses? That can be helpful.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE dress A! Very romantic, but also sexy!
I am not a fan of designs like dress B 🙂

@MsMindle: That’s what the original plan actually was, But we are on kind of a tight schedule, since we are getting married late afternoon. I would just prefer to wear one dress from ceremony, to pictures, to reception

I’m for dress A as well, though it’s hard to know without seeing photos of you in them!

I prefer dress B. It’s difficult to advise you without seeing a picture of you in the two dresses though. My dress had a 4 feet train too on my first fitting, but the seamstress has taken it up in a buttonhole so it’s not uncomfortable, I love the effect it creates. Anyway, I would choose the one that makes you feel better, your mom will understand .

Funnily enough, when I first saw the pics (before I read the blurb) I thought “dress A is so nice, but I would have to see a pic of her in it because some people look pregnant in empire lines”.
Objectively, A is the better dress. Post some pics, and we can say if it suits you or not! And it’s your wedding, not your Mum’s, so you should prioritise your own wants and needs. Honest.

ok, I only have a pic of me in Dress A. Biased i know. I was too distracted to take a pic of me in Dress B

I would wear one for the ceremony and the other for the reception. Everyone’s happy. But my wouldn’t say something mean to get me to do what she wants… So if she did I’d have a hard time not spiting her, because I’m mean. 🙂 You could tell she can wear the other dress if she likes it so much. 🙂

Blah, I’m so sick of our mothers.. Always what they want. I say be comfy and enjoy your day girl.. Mom will get over it once she sees you all dolled up on your day..

so wait, do you already have both dresses? I think dress B is more appropriate for a church wedding, but personally i LOOOOVE dress A!
