Hi! New to the bee!
Looking for a dress has not been an easy task. All I want is a sweetheart strapless ball gown with big tulle/organza puffy skirt. No beading, no lace. Sounds simple, right?? Can’t find it anywhere!! I just decided that maybe it was not ‘meant to be’ and said YES to MoriLee 1809 (with a hoop skirt underneath to make it more of a ball gown). I came home that night and saw a picture of Tara Keely 2161…. The exact dress I had been looking for! (Of course without the black bow). Now what do I do??? I put money down on MoriLee, but I feel if I never try on Tara Keely’s I will regret it!! dilemma!! MoriLee is about 600$ cheaper, which is also another reason I am hesitating on Tara Keely. Help!!

Oh, tara-keely one is much more prettier than morilee’s.

ah thanks everyone for your insight! I only put $50 down, thank god! I would be in big trouble if I paid half/full. After Christmas I’m moving from my hometown to where my fiance lives (yay after 5 years of post-undergraduate schooling& long distance relationship!!) it’s 4 hours away. My mom is upset that I would look there without her, which I think is a big reason I made this impulse decision. Yes it’s only $50, but also my mom thought she shared in that moment of finding the right dress. She’s not happy that I’m saying I’d like to try the TK dress, let alone it’s 4 hours away!

I would try it on to ease your mind, but don’t be impulsive about purchasing it. Make sure you sit on and be confident in your decision no matter what. We brides tend to find another dress we want to seek out almost all the time.

Actually the Tara Keely is exactly what you want and it is even better in person, I don’t think the picture with the giant bow does the dress any favors. I would try it on if I were you!

My advice is try on the Tara Keely. If you don’t like it no harm done and at least you know. If you don’t try it on you’ll always wonder what if. And if you can’t cancel your first dress than you can always try to sell it. That’s what I did and everything worked out. I got the dress I had truly been dreaming of and was able to sell my first dress to a bride that had been looking for my exact dress for her wedding. It was all meant to be and everyone is happy. Good luck!

I think the Mori-Lee dress is beautiful! Especially with a $600 difference in the price tag! It’s really up to you, though. But, personally, I don’t think the Tara Keely one looks particularly nice – I would want to see how either dress looks on you before making any judgement on which one to get (though so far Mori-Lee is winning for me!)

I purchased the Mori Lee and I LOVE it, so that is my obvious vote. That being said, be true to yourself and get whatever one you feel best in.
