When you were shopping for a dress were you spot on with the style and fit? Was it exactly what you had in mind? After some time away from dress shopping I have been looking back at the pictures and I started of wanting no part of a poofy princess dress, but now it has really grown on me… I was curious if any other brides had this same issue..
I started picking dresses like this:
And I’m now finding that I am leaning towards the complete opposite style!!!
More like this:
With this one being my favorite now:
I know the wedding is a ways away, but what was your own debate with style? Did you change your mind or have it completely made up before trying on dresses?

- Wedding: Either Philadelphia City Hall or a small chapel.
I love the one with the pink sash.

@MissFormaldehyde: me too! Very flattering!!

I originally wanted a sheath, but ended up with a corset back satin fit and flare 🙂 with bling. So yeah, ended up with something totally 180 degrees from what I first thought!
I’m going to second MissFormaldehyde, and say I LOVE the one with the pink sash. So perfect and it looks fabulous on you! The high waist is really nice.

i changed my mind completely. i originally wanted a fit and flare lace gown (Maggie Sottero Alana) but ended up falling in love with a drop waist, ball gown. (allure 8901)
I couldn’t make up my mind because the maggie had everything I wanted in a dress, and I didn’t want to veer away from that thought. but the allure just looked perfect on me. I ended up getting the ball gown and have no regrets!
I personally love the gown with the pink sash on you. So flattering and beautiful!! The more I look at mermaid/trumpet styles, the less i like them ( but just personal opinion)

100 percent agree the pink sash one is great on you.

Everyone is always instantly attracted to the pink sash one!! That’s my least favorite.. I love the last one.

@DunnToBe1025: i love the one with the pink belt. 🙂

I started out wanting lace and fairly tight fit (I was leaning towards mermaid dresses) and wanted absolutely nothing to do with the princess tulle ball gowns. Once I tried one on I was hooked and loved the way they looked. I ended up purchasing a princessy ball gown!

I dreamed about my self in dresses like the top one, and ended up buying the second one lol.
edit- you have a fantastic figure, you should go with something that shows it off. The one that is your favorite is so beautiful! maybe add a blingy belt?? Just my opinion 🙂

I had a very open mind when i went shopping but was pretty sure i would end up with some sort of fit-to-flare style, and I did. I absolutely love the ball gown type dress with the pink sash on you…would def be my pick out of all of them….go with your heart!

I thought I wanted anything but a mermaid/trumpet/fit and flare. Yes, that’s exactly what I fell in love with and bought, a fit and flare!
I think the pink sash is adorable on you, but I LOVE the last one on you .. the way waist meets the huge skirt makes you look tiny! I think the pink sash is a little less formal, so it really depends on your setting.

@trixiesrockets: the pink is fun, I just was not a fan of the way the dress felt on me. I feel way too young in that dress as well, I’m a young bride to begin with and I don’t want to make it seem even younger.
