If you don’t mind me asking what meds were you put on? You can private message me if you prefer.

I have PCOS too. I’m on a pill and actually GAINED weight. What I’ve been doing for the past three months is eating 90% fresh fruits and vegetables as my main food source. I add pasta and rice and meat, but mostly, it’s apples, bananas, broccoli, spinach (literally, I think I eat about three cups of spinach a day), avocado, sweet potatoes, and zucchini.

I’ve lost 14 lbs so far and with my one mile run every two or three days, I’m still losing.

Good luck! It’s a struggle but PCOS will not ruin our lives!

@Adams_bee:  Oh! Careful with the metformin. My doctor put me on that for insulin because there was a recent study that showed women with PCOS has issues breaking insulin (the reason we put on so much weight and are at a “pre-diabetic” state constantly).

It doesn’t do anything. At least for me anyway. I asked for a higher dose and my doc just told me to toss the pills. They weren’t doing anything. The study failed apparently.

@Adams_bee:  don’t worry, the side effects settle right down after a few months. If you can’t take it, the XR version is easier for some women.  I think Metformin is awesome, and totally worth the time it takes to get used to it. It completely normalized my insulin resistance.

Your dress  looks fabulous! I love the roses.  It looks like it fits you beautifully now.

Don’t be so hard on yourself! You look fab in your dress! It really accents the thinness of your waist, and the va-va-voom of your bust
