I had my first dress fitting last night, and I’ve been working out like my life depends on it the past 3 months, and I was still disappointed 🙁 (5’5 154… have lost 5 lb so far, would like to be back at 142 – ten pounds is so hard to lose!!!)
I was really happy that my arms, chest and neck have visably toned up! But.. its a strapless corset top, and I feel like my back is so gross! Just like, ugghh, do you really have to be that soft and squishy?
I’m not a good dieter, I’m gonna try for the last 7 weeks left, I just hope that on the big day I feel like a million bucks and not all worried 🙁
To make it worse I have 2 1/2 visable tattoos down the center of my back, so they draw attention and I’m just so paranoid now!
Stupid girly moment, I know…..

just remember muscle weighs more than fat so don’t think or look at the number.
7 weeks is plenty of time to work on that diet though!

The new thing these days is “boot camp”. These companies are springing up all over the place. Do a google search for a local “boot camp” in your area.
I was 5’5″ 210, did Jenny Craig for 9 months, lost 25 lbs. Then switched to WW for 4 months and only lost like 5 lbs. (Hit a major plateau). Started bootcamp (only 2ce a week). In the first 2 months, although I didn’t lose much weight or body fat % (anomale), I lost 16 inches!!! I”m starting my 5th month of boot camp now. Again, I haven’t lost much more (still plateaued), but my fitness, toning, and inches have significantly improved.
Maybe a few months of boot camp will help you get where you want to be 🙂 (I also have the same goal as you of 140#).

do the 30 day shred and cut out processed carbs — no white bread, no white pasta. restrict your other carbs and choose high fiber options. you’ll lose a lot of water weight if you stick to it!

Muscle weigh more than fat, so don’t worry too much about the scale. However if you don’t diet, you’ll build muscle under the fat.. You’ll eventually lose fat but not as much and not as fast. Sorry hun, you’ll really need to diet if you want to lose the weight/fat.
Try not to think of it as diet though, just a change in your eating habits. Indulge once in a while in order to not turn crazy and binge later and abandon your objectives.
