Just because you are 52 doesn’t mean you can’t have a bridal gown.  What about a claire pettibone gown. Also there are some gowns in beautiful shades of peach that would be flattering. I will go look! Do you have a price range?

I’m a huge fan of short dresses, especially for outdoor celebrations. What about something like this:

What about gold? Maggie Sottero has a lot of beautiful dresses that come in gold (or gold with ivory overlays).

I know you said you dont really want a bridal gown, but I think the gold kind of takes away some of that “WOAH wedding white!” feel, and looks classy and elegant and beautiful…

There are LOTS of other dresses on Maggie’s website that come in gold… they’re beautiful.

@ba525:  Don’t short change yourself.  I am 56 and really some of those Maggie dresses the other Bees have suggested are just wonderful.  I would wear them.

In fact I am wearing a strapless gown La Sposa for my daughter’s wedding next March.

A gown in a soft colour like peach or gold or even a pastel shade of your favourite colour would look just beautiful.
