Has anyone had any luck ordering their wedding dress from Etsy.com? I’ve heard it can be hit or miss and I am considering this an option since we are on a tight budget.
Good or bad, please let me know your experiences! Would love to see pics too 🙂

I wouldn’t try that, personally. It may not fit right and alterations could be expensive. Also, it’s hard to say if the person making the dress is actually a decent seamstress. I bet I could make a dress and put it on etsy if I wanted to. LOL! That thought alone is a bit scary 🙂 Why don’t you try a local boutique? Many of them have sale dresses. My dress fit beautifully and it was only $599. Alterations only cost me $108 to shorten it a bit and add the bustle. Also, check out places like J.Crew, Macy’s, Nordstroms, etc,. You may be able to find a prom-style wedding gown for half the price! Good Luck!

@ShabbyChicBee: I think it completely depends on the seller. Do you have a specific shop in mind? I ordered a dress from Etsy, but it was from a seller with a substantial amount of sales and positive feedback, so I didn’t feel hesitant at all.
