My dress has arrived at the bridal store, a month or so early!! Yay! Kind of nervous as Its been months since I tried on a sample. Should I wear makeup to the first fitting? I’m the same weight as I was when I tried on the sample, so don’t think I will need any alterations, but I’m going in for an accessories appointment at the same time, and I don’t know if I should stay makeup free, or wear it so that I get an overall look and feel.
I’m not having my hair done specially for the fitting, as I don’t know what i want to do with it yet 🙂
Any ideas?? Eeek!! x

Yes, do your make up and hair yourself, and take pics! It will help you get a feel for the overall look that you want. Take pics and post 🙂

I’d go makeup free for fear of getting it on the dress before the big day

I’d wear makeup as PP said so you can get a real feel for how you’ll look. Especially since it’s the first time trying on “your” dress! How exciting! Def take pics and have fun!

@jpalm13: Whenever I tried on dresses I stepped into them, they never even came close to my face

I’d want to wear makeup to see the whole look. But be careful!

When I went for my accessories appointment I went with a full face of make-up and I did my hair in the same shape as I want my hair on the big day. Do like a “Mock-up” of what you want! Check out some tutorials on youtube.com. Just search wedding make-up or celebrity make-up, etc to help you create your look. Good Luck and takes TONS of pictures!!!!

Thanks everyone 🙂 I think i’ll be ok makeup wise, hair wise, that’s another story.. I have hair down to my bum… lol 🙂 I’m not sure if i want it curly over one side and down, or whether i want to wear it up, but I know i cant put it up myself… its a nightmare to work with! 🙂
These are a few pics i found online while searching for inspiration 🙂
