I was surfing through old pictures on my phone and was totally shocked to find some of me in my wedding dress. I had no idea I had these, I don’t want Fiance to see them so I thought I deleted them.
Anyway, I’m looking at these pictures and the dress just hangs on me. Its 2-3 sizes too big and the sample but I just can’t get over how bad it looks. I have no new pictures in my dress because I want to keep things a surprise but I’m worried that’s what my dress really looks like. I’m not saying I have dress regret, I love my dress more than anything. Is it just me being crazy? Sorry the pic is so huge, I’m on my phone.

@Lizzy723: you can definitely tell it’s too big from the photo- I’m sure it will look a lot better in your size. Also, that picture is from a less flattering angle than that from which people would normally view you, which does not help! Are you worried about the volume when you say it hangs on you? If so, a crinoline would fix that! Don’t worry, it’s totally normal to criticize the pictures!

What I think it is, is the pickups. They look so flat! I bought a ballgown but feel like its flat and wrinkly. My mom was sitting down and took the picture so maybe that’s why.

I think you look great and its the angle peat the pic was taken that is makithey our second guess. My only suggestion would be to add a petticoat to give he bottom more volume

But it does have volume, at least that’s how I remember it. I’m kicking myself for not taking more pictures. Maybe just because this one was a sample being stuffed in and out of the bag is what is making me confused? Tempted to call the seamstress and go try on my gown again just to be sure.

I think it is a combination of the size and the fact that it is a sample. Samples kind of get brutal treatment- being stuffed in and out of bags, forced onto girls of all sizes. Usually, new dresses will have fuller skirts because they aren’t so worn
