i bought a sample too and brought it right to the place where I would have my alterations done. They agreed to hold it until my alterations begun. I didn’t want to risk having it my closet. The dress also came with a secure, plastic garment bag. If yours didn’t, you should invest in one.

I have heard a lot of bees suggesting wrapping it in a white sheet. I imagine it has to do with protecting the dress while still allowing it to breathe

The store I bought my dress from is keeping it cold storage until the big day – not sure how you would do that at home, but apparently that helps!

I would keep it in a sealed garment bag in a clean dry environment and resist the temptation to try it on and spin around in it in front of the mirror :p x
