you could try PC Marys dresses.  She has a lot of ballgowns around $1,000

Also you can sweetheart any neckline (I have been told).

Maggie sottero has ballgowns too but I think they are a little more than $1,000, but you can always look for a preowned on if you find one you really like.

@Soon2beeALL: I got mine from Casablanca Bridal most of their dresses seem to be 800 ish..some more so just be careful. But they are very blingy.

This probably isn’t ballgown enough for you but it has the sweetheart neckline and beading…. [attachment=1414992,179766]

No problem! I actually ordered it last month… I should get it in April!  Would you consider it ball gown enough?

@Soon2beeALL: It was actually $1129, but I got it for 20% off b/c I ordered that day and got my bridesmaid dresses there…. so the total was $967, which included tax and a handling fee…. so I’m sure you could get it around your price range!  It’s Maggie Sottero, Gwenyth,  by the way 🙂

Look on craigslist. Tons of girls sale their wedding dresses there and many of them were never used. Also, depending on how long you have, you might consider looking for a dress you love and then look for shops having sample sales. I fell in love with a designer gown that sells for 1375…needless to say, I kept googling it and one day found where a shop had posted it online. They were selling their in store sample for 550. I had to drive 2 hours, but I got a beautiful designer gown for an amazing deal!
