If it’s your style, than I think you look nice in it. I just don’t like the bow, but that’s just a taste thing.

@soontobetucker: I think it’s very flattering. It’s also not a dress I’ve seen before which in my eyes is always a plus. What is your venue like?

I think the dress is elegant and beautiful and looks great on you.  If I had to change anything, I might remove the bow altogether or change it to a rhinestone sash, kind of like Chelsea Clinton’s.  That would be just gorgeous.

Not too sure what kind of comments you would like to hear. If you want something to make you feel confident, I would say your body figure is very nice and this dress can highlight that very well.

If you want honest opinion, I don’t like this dress… it reminds me of the figure from Michelin tires….

i am with @big_monchhichi . i think the dress is flattering for your body, like it fits you well. but the dress itself is not my favorite.

the important thing is how do YOU like it?  my guess is you are not sure what to think, then it means you don’t LOVE it. and you should LOVE your dress.

I think it’s flattering but has quite a strong style (kind of 50ish in a way).  I personally would prefer a similar shape with a lighter material.

@soontobetucker: i think if you have to even think about whether or not this is the the dress, then it’s not the dress. i went to six different dress shops (not all in one day obviously) and tried on a LOT of different dresses (between 8-12 per store). the best thing i did was at the first store, i tried on all different styles – even styles i didn’t think i’d initially like. at the very least, it helped me narrow down what i hated and loved style wise. it also helped solidify in my mind what i ultimately wanted. (if you haven’t done this already – try it. it might help!)

this made it a lot easier once i got to store 2, 3, 4, etc. I was able to look at a dress on a rack and tell the consultant “No, not this one” or “I definitely like this.”

I found my dress at shop 6 and as soon as i stepped into the dress, i knew. it sounds cheesy, but i didn’t have to ask my Mom if it was flattering because i felt amazing in it and i knew it was perfect. it actually made me tear up (which also could have been a combination of happy tears from the pure exhaustion of finally finding a dress after shopping for what felt like ages lol)

sorry for the lengthy post! but seriously – in summary – i think it sounds like this isn’t your dress. you will know when it’s your dress. just like you knew your Fiance was the one! when you find your dress you won’t wonder “is there a better one?” because it will be just like your Fiance – you will just know there isn’t anything better out there! πŸ™‚

it is so different and it looks amazing on you (not everyone can pull it off!!) i think the bow is kind of funny.. like it should be on the back.. maybe if it was removed and you had some kind of sash.

I love the dress and i love how it looks on you, (with the exception of the bow).  It reminds me of a sweet 1950s Barbie.

@soontobetucker: Some people are all against bows. I personally don’t mind it. A sash would look nice, too. πŸ™‚

@soontobetucker: To me the bow is not really a bit issue, I think … just the pattern of the dress looks…. not good to me…

If you like the fit and the cut, you could find another with the same cut and fit, but I would only get it-if you like it all-fabric, bow, etc.  If you are so-so about it, keep looking! πŸ™‚

It’s definitely different and has a strong style but that’s a good thing! It looks great on you!
