Hi ladies –
Another “which dress” post. I’m also having a hard time. Which one do you think is more flattering – Dress 1/straight or Dress 2/poofy?
I love the silk material on dress 1. It hangs so beautifully. That being said, its straight and somewhat basic. I’m worried about missing out on the bride experience. But I guess a cathedral length veil can punch it up a bit.
Dress 2 still isn’t quite what I imagined but its a good compromise on poofy and some fitting (I found I look lost in ballgowns). The taffetta material isn’t horrible, but certainly not as nice as dress 1’s. I’m also worried about looking big in the hip area. But its about half the price of dress 1 and does give me that poofy/bridal feel.
Please ignore the blurred, discolored images! I had to sneak them, so they’re not the best.

As a fan of poofy dresses, I have to say that the more fitted one looks fantastic on you, and that is what I voted for!
Most importantly, what do you feel the best in?

@aeggea: Hi! Dress 1. looks gorgeous and really shows your shapely figure. “The bridal experience” is what you make it. I definitely don’t equate a poofy dress with being bridal and not a straight or shorter dress. Think about how you feel in the dress. Think about how your Fiance is going to feel when he sees you walking down the aisle.

The first dress looks absolutely stunning on you!

Thanks for the help! I guess I’m just having a hard time letting go of the poofy idea in my head.

I think the first shows off your amazing body! With the cinching, I don’t think it’s plain at all!

I voted for #1 because it looks amazing on you! Plus, from your description, it sounds like you really like the first one better anyways 😉
I think you definitely still look like a bride still in #1! Bride does not equal tons of dress. Like you said, I think the veil will tie it all together. If you really want more “poof” you could add a mermaid slip under the first gown.
