I’m having a really hard time making a decision. How did you narrow it down?
I’m having a really hard time making a decision. How did you narrow it down?
I LOVE #1 and #4 on you but I’m very partial to lace…
@TequilaSunrise: Thanks. Now I have to vote, hmm, this is hard. The only one I can easily eliminate is the second.
I voted for the third, but the first is definitely a close runner-up.
@vermontia: What is it that you don’t like about #2? I’m so lost on this dress search. I have no idea what I want lol. Honest opinions are very welcome:)
@TequilaSunrise: I think it makes you look way younger than you are, younger than a bride should look. And even though you are such a skinny minny, it’s just not as flattering in the stomach. Don’t know why that is!
I voted 3, but it was a tough choice b/t 3 (all dreamy and goddess-like) and 4 (va-va-voom!). They both flatter you extremely well and they’re gorgeous!!
If you want honest feedback…
#1 is pretty, but sits too low on your chest, kind of makes you look a little short. Might just be an alterations fix, but I also think the column does’t do anything for your figure
#2 You just don’t look very happy in it π
Where is your wedding? Inside, outside? Night, day?
I love #3 – it is beautiful and flowy! But #4 is great as well. What style is your wedding?
I had a hard time choosing between 3 and 4, but voted #4 in the poll. I think #3 is gorgeous, but it’s hard to tell what it would look like when it’s falling/sitting naturally, as it’s draped over the platform (is that what it’s called?). If it were my dress, I’d probably pick #4 without the sash, just because I’m not too excited about the brown. You have a great figure!
The pics you posted are all so different! Hmmm…. Yes, it can be very overwhelming.
I don’t know if this will help: I was going by a combination of my budget (tiny) and the general type of dress I already knew I wanted (in my case, something relatively simple, with little or no beading, small or no train and preferrably, not strapless). With that in mind, I tried on only dresses that fit both criteria (i.e., under $500 AND elegant, simple lines). From those, I picked out the ones I thought flattered me most.
And just when I was all set to order my dress (actually, it was a bridesmaid dress, ultra-formal, that I would have ordered in ivory or white), I magically tried on an actual wedding dress that was an off-the-rack, heavily discounted, discontinued model and… I was in love. AND I could afford it!
Maybe in my case it was just a fluke in the end, but if you can just narrow it down to the style you’d like, you can try on a bunch of different gowns until one jumps up at you and says, me! ME!
It’s sooo abstract, I know… Good luck!
PS: For what it’s worth, I think the second and fourth dresses look really nice on you. π
@vermontia: I see what you mean in dress two. With the young-ness and the belly pooch. I don’t know if maybe she had it to tight or if the dress just doesn’t flatter me there period lol.
@bells219: Thanks for your honest response. I thought if I went with dress one I would need some ultra pushup bra work…But that may not even fix it. As for it making me look a little short, I agree ..I don’t need anything more against me..I’m only 4 11! lol. I need all the height cheat I can use.
My wedding will be outside on a river bank near or at an old historic shelter in and old historic town.. Low key.
My Fiance will be wearing Dress pants, black cowboy boots, dress shirt with a vest…like the vests you see from J-crew.
Keep the feedback coming! π
the last one without the sash, the sash is too big and doe snot work with that dress. 1 is my second fav π
