If you love it, go for it. The day is about you. Who cares if they don’t like it. Everyone has their own agenda sadly. I am afraid to go dress shopping for that reason. I have one style and my sister has a completely different style than me. I am sure its the same case for you. You have a style that you love and others dont. You do you!!!! Get the dress.

Could we see pictures?

Regardless of the pictures though I say stick to what YOU like and what spoke to YOU and made you feel beautiful and bridal. ๐Ÿ™‚

devonlee:  It’s YOUR dress. You pick what makes YOU happy, not anyone else. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a bride who picked what everyone else liked and was happy about it. I HAVE heard multiple times that they chose what everyone liked and regretted not getting the one they liked. You are going to look gorgeous regardless. Who CARES if it’s “plain.” It’s what you want and you should absolutely get it. Not exactly the same situation, but I was deciding between 2 dresses and everyone else thought the other one was “prettier” and “gave me a better shape.” But I was sure I like the one I liked and that’s the one I got!

If you love it get it. Your opinion is the only one that matters. Who cares if no one else like the dress? It’s your day wear whatever you feel beautiful in.

devonlee:  I love the dress you love! Agree there should be a different belt. It’s your dress and you should love it. I think once it’s your wedding day, everyone else will see your vision (and if they don’t, f-them, as long as you’re happy! ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

I love the dress you love!  But I’m coming here to say go with your gut.  I just reached a turning point in my wedding planning where I realized that no one else’s opinions are welcome anymore. They all mean well, and I still love everyone involved in my wedding, but I”m picking my own stuff from now on.  Damned if they don’t like it, but I feel like if I go with someone else’s idea for my wedding, I’ll regret it years later.

Also, are your bridal party members married? I stopped asking my BMs for their opinions because I realized they all sort of gave answers of what THEY would do for their future hypothetical weddings. One girl kept telling me that she loved sashes and I should wear a blingy sash even though my wedding is outdoors in the desert. I almost bought one before I realized that it’s HER style, not mine. Same with shoes, veils, accessories. My girls kept giving me opnions of what they would wear. I stopped asking their opinions now and just get whatever I want. It feels great. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the dress you love! Go with what will make you happy on your big day. An aside, this is why I hate taking people dress shopping…
