So I went dress shopping and think I may have found the one…allure2513. The problem is, the dress I loved was a champagne sample, and I planned on getting a white dress. At the last store I went to, I found the same dress in ivory, which was almost white. Everyone I show pictures to thinks it looks like a totally different dress. It was also way too big on me, so I don’t know if that is also playing into making it look like a different dress. I’m worried the lace appliqué details I love so much won’t stand out with white. Has anyone ordered this dress in white? I can’t seem to find any pictures anywhere in actual white. Do you think this might be the one? I want to do a coralish pink for my bridesmaids like the color my sister is wearing, so I think white will look best…

Is the first picture the white/ivory and then the bottom two the champagne?
Because I have to say, the champagne looks stunning! It might just be that the white didn’t pick up as well in the photo, but in real life which do you prefer?
I think the champagne goes fine with a coral colour too btw.

@cerebellum09: From the pics you’ve posted I love the first one, it’s beautiful and you look like it was made for you

Love the champagne. Go for it.

I love the first photo, the applique look like sparkles which is awesome (in my opinion) but if thats not what you’re going for the champagne is pretty too (and looks great with the coral!). You can’t go wrong with such a pretty dress!

I do prefer the champagne, but I wouldn’t say the white looks like a completely different dress. It’s pretty as well.

It took me a second to realize all three were the same dress, lol. The dress loses a lot in the “white”. Is it possible to do the base white with the overlay in champagne? Otherwise, another vote for the champagne!

The white is still lovely, but the champagne really does lend itself more to the vintage feel of the dress. It definitely shows off the detail better than the white.

The actual white is usually a hard color for most brides to wear. When we ordered my daughter’s Allure 2558 last week, she chose the ivory, as it’s very close to white but doesn’t wash her out so badly. If the first photo is you in Allure ivory, I vote for that one. It gives you the “white” look you want, but will photograph better and go well with the coral maids’ dresses. Please post a photo when you decide – you are going to be such a beautiful bride!

Thanks for the votes so far!! The first picture was ivory, and the last two champagne. The other concern with the champagne is that it might blend in too muh with the groom/groomsmen which I was considering having wear beige like this.

I prefer the first color. That dress is stunning! I think either choice will be lovely.

I love the champagne! Ivory would be a second choice for me! But it is an amazing dress and will work well with your BM colors!

@cerebellum09: I totally understand if you prefer to wear white. However, I just want to say that I think the color you are wearing in the last photo and the coral pink your sister is wearing look great together.
Are the appliques white or the color of the dress? I think if the appliques are white and the dress is a darker color (champagne, blush, ivory), they will definitely show up better because of the contrast. I like the second color you have on the best though.

The last photo is perfect. The color of your dress and the color of the dress next to you go beautifully together, and if you add in the example of the groom’s outfit.. still perfect! I love it. Beautiful warm tones.. I think the ivory/white would be to stark against everything else! I vote for the champagne!

I love the champagne!!! Both are gorgeous though. Also, that veil in the second picture… seriously amazing.
