hey everyone!! i could use a bit of help.. i ended up buying this dress rather impusively (really good deal, the woman was so nice, my dad was with me and he said he really liked it too..) and i DO like it alot, i just don’t want to have dress regret down the line/when its too late to change it.. i have about a year until the wedding so if i needed to i could sell this and find a new one..
basically, i would like some second opinions/input on whether or not i should keep it or find a new one.. any suggestions/questions/comments is VERY appreciated, thank you!!!
*sorry for the large photos/blurriness/terrible lighting, etc*

Is there something in specific or elements of the dress that you don’t like? Because it sounds to me like you don’t really like it 🙁

I think it’s beautiful on you! A sash or belt may jazz it up a bit. I’d see if a store would let u bring your dress in and look at their accessories with it. I love the bottom. Many dresses have this similar shape, but never seen the small ruffles like this one. I like it.

I think it’s beautiful. Very figure flattering. A sparkly sash would really make it pop.

I think it looks great on you, and adding a blingy sash really can add new life to a dress! Plus, I’ve been trying to sell my “dress regret” first dress for more than a year and haven’t had any luck. :/

i really DO like the dress! i wanted a mermaid fit and i like the way it looks on.. i just wasnt too sure about the bottom part and how the two designs separate (the rouched look to the swirly fabric- haha sorry i cant describe it better).. and i wasnt sure if it needed a bit more ‘bling’ …basically id like some reassurance that i chose the right dress (or thoughts/opinions on whether i should keep looking).. i just hear so many horror stories where brides have bought a dress they love and then have major dress regret and id rather not go through all that.
thank you to everyone for the quick responses!!! i really appreciate all your help 🙂

I agree with adding a sash or some beading.

I really like the dress! I think it looks great on you. I would probably had a belt or something to just give it a little something. But I love the bottom and think it works with the dress great!

thank you for the input!!
..for those of you who vote ‘keep looking’.. any particular reason why?

I’m guessing people voted “keep looking” because it seemed like you didn’t really like the dress in your first post.
I think the dress is beautiful. It’s simple and interesting at the same time which I love. If you think it’s too simple for your tastes, try adding a sash.

It’s beautiful but I’m not sure you love it. I say go ahead and try to sell it and find another one!

I always try to be an encourager. However, when asked, I also always strive to give honest and very detailed feedback. I’m not certain, but I believe this may be the first time I’ve ever voted definitively for a bride to sell her dress and keep looking.
I’m sure you are a very beautful girl and would make a gorgeous bride no matter what dress you end up choosing. You have a fabulous figure, also!
However, I am really not a fan of this gown. I do not like the look of the fabric, or the lines of the gown. I don’t think it will photograph well, and I think too many details of this dress compete with each other so that there is no “flow” or cohesiveness to the design. I especially think that the execution of the textured elements on the bottom and bust areas of the dress looks to be of poor quality.
If you can afford to keep looking for a new gown — and I presume that you can, since you have asked this question — I personally think that you should.

your figure is just gorgeous! youre right, a mermaid or trumpet is perfect for you… there is something off about this dress though… it almost looks homemade maybe? youre right about the transition to the ruffles at the bottom, its too harsh, and I feel lime the ruffles themselves are too skimpy. I think you should keep shopping, because you deserve to feel 100% comfident and beautiful on your wedding day!

I voted sell and keep looking…I love the SHAPE on you, in fact I love from the knees up. I just don’t care for the bottom part, sorry 🙁
