I can understand the frustration, but coming from somebody who has purchased lace online… the final product is very rarely what you thought it would be judging from the pictures. The lace above is sort of unique and the lace below is more traditional, but it is pretty similar overall. It is pretty shitty that they would switch it out without consulting you (I had an invite vendor do this to me and I just did not understand how she could conduct buisiness that way). But I’m willing to bet that that lace will be very pretty in person. Its VERY difficult to judge lace over internet pictures.

Hopefuly they can replace it for you, but please don’t let it stress you out so much. You have a beautiful lace gown and the type of lace will become very not important in the grand scheme of things during the day and in many of your pictures. Everyone will remember that it was lace, but the type of lace isn’t all that memorable.

@Mrs Hoot:  I understand your frustration. I honestly think once you put a petticoat under it so the skirt is nice and full like the original picture it will look a lot better and more like your original pic. I think when comparing  pic ofthe completed dress to the original, the dark heavy sash isn’t really complimentary to the more sheer, less densely patterned lace if that makes semse? It might just be the thickness of the sash.  Try it with a petticoat And a slightly different sash. I hope – for your sake you are pleasently surprised!

Maybe it will look better once you get it? The fact that it is on a plastic body and it has a black sash may make it look worse than it really is. Plus, they never had ‘ that fabric’ because it is not their dress, they have taken the dress from another designer and are recreating it. Lace is all so different so they just did what they think was the closest. This was the main reason why I couldn’t commit to ordering online. BUT that is really a beautiful dress, I hope it all works out.

I think it’s going to look completely different on you~ in a very good way.  The frame it’s on is doing it no justice.  The neckline difference, from scoop to scallop, can hopefully be fixed because that does change the overall effect.  Don’t lose hope yet!
