Are you busty?  If so, I dont think the cowl neck will be very flattering.  Aside from that, the dress is very pretty.  Why not just wait until its on sale to buy it?  DB dresses always go on sale, you’ve got lots of time, and you could return it if you don’t like it (which you couldn’t do with a custom made dress).

@HelleCat:  I actually think that neckline looks best on athletic girls with a mid-large b cup. but where you still have space between your breast

very pretty 🙂 The back on this one is so dramatic!.    I think there is a 10 or 20% discount w/free shipping if you use a code holiday or shopping at davids bridal…you might google that to be sure though, I deleted the email, sorry. $800 is not bad though, considering most new dresses are a LOT more $$.

PS-you might see if you can find the dress locally to try on. I found that with the mermaid style like this, (I am not a curvy or booty gal (white girl butt)) and these fitted types of dresses just weren’t that flattering on me 🙁 bummer bc I really love this style. Also, I have seen a lot of other bees write decent reviews from jasmines, if you go that route, keep a running tab so we can see it’s progression! good luck.

I albsolutaly LOVE the back of this dress, I wouldnt call this..smple its got alot going on in the back and you could always add a belt for pretty cheap if you wanted. I wouldnt its got some beautiful details. I paid about the same for my dress and its pretty simple aswell..but to me it was worth it!

It doesn’t hurt to get a quote from Jasmine’s bridal, it may not be cheaper enough to justify the fake dress though.
