I am looking at buying one of 3 dresses from eBay. My dream dress is Casablanca 1827, but I found it for $700 new, and that just isn’t going to fit into the budget.
I love each and every one of these dresses for different reasons and they range between $150 and $185 and will be custom made with my measurements! Yay 🙂
Anyway, the photos on eBay kinda suck and I’d love to find better ones to better make a desicion. Anyone know where these dress photos originally came from?
Also, which one do you Bees like best?? This is an extremely hard decision since I will not be able to try it on first. I can always trust you to help 🙂
(P.S. We will have an outdoor ceremony and reception in a barn and outdoors, so I’m a tiny bit hesitant about dress #2 even though I love it)

The first dress is from David’s Bridal – I think it’s Oleg Cassini.
I think the second dress is Allure.
And the third dress is Pronovias.
I think all the dresses are beautiful, but if you are getting one custom made by an Ebay seller – I would be inclined to pick a dress that isn’t lace. I’ve seen and heard that the lace that is used can turn out not so good.

Well i did not buy my custom made dress off of ebay (I got mine off of etsy!), I have heard different things about ebay lace dresses- mostly that the lace and material is usually not what you expect it to be. I’ve often read complaints about lace in pictures turning out to be tulle or netting material once the dress arrives. Just FYI. (To see what I mean, search something like “ebay dress” or “ebay lace dress” here on wedding bee.)
That aside, what do you look like? Sometimes one kind of dress would look better on a certain body type then others. Personally speaking, i’m a big fan of how #2 looks on the model, but anyone with substancial boobage or curves might not look as awesome, I think. I could be wrong! If you’re curvy, #1 might look better? I’m not a fan of #3 at all.

Thank you for the advice!!! The only thing I’m confused about is two of the dresses are from “Top Rated Sellers” and have thousands of feedback, almost at 100%.
However, I did look at some other threads and am a little worried… Damn, figures it is too good to be true!! 🙁

@rabbit… sorry I didn’t answer your question!
I am 5’7, about 135-140. Extra weight I carry is all in the hips and tummy. Thin in the legs and arms. I’m a mid-size B cup, so nothing too big to worry about up top 🙂

I LOVED dress #2. That Allure was my second choice. I posted a pic of me in it the other day. I am about the same size as you, but had a little baby belly left when I tried it on. I was afraid the fit on my belly didn’t look good, which is why I went with a different dress. It is gorgeous though.

@mrskesslertobe It does look gorgeous!! Thank you for posting that picture. What dress did you end up going with?

Hmm, it’s so hard to decide without seeing them on. I honestly think they’re all beautiful, although I find myself leaning towards 1 and 3…. but that’s because I personally don’t look good in the style of 2…. so it could easily look best on you. 🙂
