@giddyspringbride:  It’s gorgeous. Ignore what they say. It’s your wedding and you will look lovely in the dress you chose!

You look amazing in that dress. And I completely disagree with your family members. I think your lace dress is perfect for an outdoorsy ranch wedding. And personally I never agree that a dress has to match a venue anyways. You’re the bride, you won’t look out of place regardless of what type of dress you wear!

I think the dress looks stunning on you and I would not worry about it clashing with the venue. I think it is actually a nice contrast ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m in the boat that a bride can wear whatever dress she wants no matter where the wedding is.  That dress looks amazing on you and certainly will look great in any setting from beach to ranch to garden and anything in between.

You look beautiful, and I think the dress will be just fine!

If you still feel bad about it, though, you might consider removing some of the sequins. That’s really the only thing I can see that makes it less to your theme. Definitely don’t feel like you have to get an all new dress, though!

I’ve actually seen dresses similar to yours at even more rustic locations, so I think it’s perfect–and you look lovely!

The BEST advice I can give you: don’t show anyone pictures of your dress (except us on the Bee!).

You look gorgeous in your dress — I have no idea how anyone could say anything negative about it at all. Ignore them. It will look fantastic in any setting.

OMG it’s GORGEOUS! Don’t let their remarks get to you. You look great. It will look fine in an outdoorsy wedding! Believe me, once the day comes and everyone sees how beautiful you look-they wont even be thinking things like that. Keep it,  keep it, keep it! ๐Ÿ™‚

I think your dress is perfect and fits in any setting.  It isn’t over the top in any directions and you look amazing in it.  I have (in my short planning experience) learned that everyone has an opinion of what they have invisioned for you and don’t realize that their vision isn’t your dream.  Don’t let them get to you and know that you are going to be the most perfect and beautiful you on your day (your day not theirs)!!!

How is it inappropriate for a ranch? What we they expecting you to wear? Jeans and a cowboy hat? It is a wedding and you have to wear a beautiful dress ๐Ÿ™‚

I think its perfect, lace is romantic and has a vintage feel, I think it fits prefectly with your setting.
