My dress is finally in and I went to try it on today. While I was there and trying it on I felt beautiful. However, when I got home and looked at the pics I felt blah :-/ . I can’t help but wonder if I had it to do all over would I choose the same dress? I am going to suck it up and hope that on my day I will look and feel beautiful.

This rings true with me too. I loved my dress, tried it and still locked it, so ordered it. Then when I returned to try it on, I had a friend take a pic and then began to have dress regret:-( I think partly because I studied the pic too long, focussing on the things I thought looked wrong. But its important to remember that on your wedding day, with your hair and make up done, you will fall in love again with your dress. Plus professional photos will look better than your ad hoc one! The dress by the way is lovely! I like the diagonal lines and that it’s simple, elegant with just the right amount of bling:-) so.. My advice to you ( and myself!) is to stop scrutinising that photo and relax. You’ll look lovely on the day x

The dress looks Beautiful on you! It’s going to look even better when you do your hair and make up! I had nightmares about my dress for months! Trust me it all comes together! The day I did my trial for my hair and makeup I went and retried on my dress and I was in love 🙂

I was the same way- LOVED it on, then felt I looked terrible in the pictures. Remember, cameras don’t always flatter our bodies, to say the least!
That dress is perfect for you. You will feel so beautiful on your big day, I just know it!

Wow! You honestly do look really amazing! I don’t know how you could even have doubts….. The dress itself is beautiful, and it is very flattering on you. Plus, shows off some great cleavage 😉

Just remember, you will always be your worst critic. I think you look beautiful and your stress is stunning!

@teachernva: I think you look beautiful in the dress. But it’s about how you feel. Is there something in particular you would like to change? Without pick your beautiful look apart, try to find areas that you can enhance, maybe a fully skirt? different undergarments? If you are wearing a necklace I think it will further add to your look.
No matter what you will be the prettiest woman in the world come your wedding and don’t let anyone tell you different.

Thanks so much ladies- your comments REALLY helped me feel so much better.
@small stuff: That’s exactly what happened. I stared at the pic far too long and fixated on every little thing that looked wrong- especially my arms! I blew the pictures up and just kept picking them apart.
I don’t have on any shapewear in the pic and I know that once I have some, along with hair and makeup, everything will come together.
Thanks so much ladies 🙂
