@moiraine:  I would take your dad (or some male figure with you) and go in again and not leave until you get an answer. Something fishy is going on and it’s making the company look bad.  Even if it were only shipped in March, it wouldn’t take 3 months to arrive. Sounds like they messed up and need to fix their mistake.

Worst case, I would threaten legal action.

My salon got a tracking number from the manufacturer when the dress was shipped. Find out if they got a tracking number and then find out why they haven’t been tracking it!

I agree with PP, go IN PERSON to the salon. Take a male (he doesn’t need to talk, just be there) and do not leave until you get an answer.

@moiraine:  How on earth can someone lose a wedding gown? The dress had to have been shipped with a tracking number. Have they traced it that way? Maybe you should call the designer yourself and find out if it really was a mess up on their end. And I agree with the pp. Take your dad and dont leave until you have an answer. This is so far beyond unacceptable I cant even  believe it.. Good luck!

@moiraine:  something is not right.  i don’t think the salon is being honest with you. 

if the dress has not arrived yet, the salon either a) didn’t order it on time or at all or b) the salon is in arrears with that particular designer and they will not take any more orders until their account is paid.

i personally would contact the designer myself and get to the bottom of this asap.  confirm that the dress was ordered and the date it was.  also, has the dress been shipped and when.  is there a tracking number?

@moiraine:  If I were you, I would look on preowned sites for girls with similar measurements. I think that is your best bet. So sorry this happened to you

Interesting. I read on a few bridal shops websites that they had gone out of business. I’m glad that’s not the case!

@moiraine:  I would insist the bridal shop pay for overnight shipping & give you a discount on your alterations (assuming your using them) since it was all their issues and they were so unhelpful trying to sort it out for you.
