i’ve been browsing and bookmarking gowns that i like and are in my price range for future reference…in my travels i found this gown by da vinci (style 50031). (i seem to like a lot of their gowns, which is good, because they’re relatively inexpensive, lol. we’ll see if i like them in person.)
so then, just for fun i was browsing maggie sottero, just because i like a lot of maggie’s stuff, altho i couldn’t dream of affording most of it. and i came across this gown called “carly”, which is my first name, and it looks exactly like the da vinci one…
made me chuckle a little.
so i was thinking…has anyone else come across a gown that shares a name with you…one that you could actually see yourself wearing?

@cardus: oh my gosh, that’s so crazy..what are the odds that they look that similar? haha! I haven’t found one with my name, but my gown is called Grace (Maggie Sottero) and that has always been my favorite girl’s name!

Priscilla of Boston Lindsey (my name but spelled differently). I like it!

This is the Maggie “Courtney” It’s not really my style, but still pretty.

Boo! When I google it all I get is the name of Kate’s designer. FAIL.

Oh man I’ve come across a ton of Samanthas
Lyn Ashworth (I’d wear this one!!)

wow that badgley mischka is something else! i’d be afraid to wear a dress like that…way too self-conscious. i think gowns like that can really only be pulled off by girls who just exude self-confidence…

My knee jerk reaction was to respond that I would be shocked if a dress was named after me because I have an extremely unique name. Most people have never heard of my name and get very confused by the pronounciation. But I decided to google anyways and I can’t believe it, but there’s a dress with my name!
It’s by a Romanian designer called Ophelia Bridal. While I wouldn’t personally chose a dress like that I do think it’s very pretty. Love the one shoulder.

I found two pretty quickly! Impressions – ruching, and netting AND a bubble hem. Maybe a little much for me…
And second – Maggie Sottero. Wouldn’t have been right for my “Garden tea party” style wedding, but in the bizarro world where I’m chic and fabulous, I could see this working!

It’s a Maggie. :] I like it (sans straps, though, if I got it), but after trying on dresses, something like this isn’t really my style. Oh well!

I can’t believe we share the same name! I hardly meet another Courtney

I actually really love that 2nd dress and 2 years ago I could have worn it with no problem but I put on a ton of weight over the past year lol. My dress has the same style as the middle of that dress but the see through corset was filled in (thank goodness) because I’m squeezed in there in not such a pretty way lol.

I found two so far that has my name. The Maggie I maybe would have considered. However, the 2nd one by Claudine is not my style.

Really? There was three of us in my kindergarten class! All of us were actually Courtney Lynn and me and another one actually shared a birthday! Though thinking about it now, aside from them, I don’t know any other Courtney’s either!

I actually tried on 5 dresses that had my name. I wish I had a unique name.
