Hey I got married in the Dominican Republic, in a resort where there were several weddings during our stay. Women wear all kinds of dresses for their beach weddings; you get to wear you dress once in your life and should wear the one you like!

It is a lovely dress and it fits you perfectly.  There is no such thing as a dress that is specifically for a beach wedding….in my opinion,…unless it was a super formal ball gown.  Your dress is gorgeous.  You are going to wear Grandma’s pearls…which is an amazing “something old”.    It will be gorgeous for your wedding……. no doubts, my friend.  Good choice……you will be a beautiful bride.

How does the dress feel? Is it very heavy and hot? That would be my only concern about it, otherwise I say go for it!

I think it’s really beautiful, but something about it feels heavy to me. Almost as if it would be for a colder weather wedding, if that makes sense? WHen I think beach, I think lighter (physically, the color is totally fine – it will blend nicely with the sand hues ๐Ÿ™‚ ). But, if it is a lighter look in person, totally disregard what i’m saying!

I think you should wear the dress you love.  Nobody is going to be thinking whether or not your dress goes with the beach scenery.  They’re going to be thinking how beautiful and happy you look.

I’m having a daytime wedding and wearing a very fancy wedding dress.  It may not go together, but I don’t care.  I love my dress.  If you love your dress, wear it!

Traditionally, it seems a little formal for a beach wedding, but your wedding is all about what you want and what makes you feel beautiful, so I say go for it!
