Well, if you’re worried about having to pull it up all the time, I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult to add straps.

But I think it’s a lovely dress! It sounds perfect for a more casual seaside wedding. And I think you could make it more casual or dressy depending on how you decide to wear your hear and on the accessories you choose. I’m sure it will be beautiful no matter what!

I think is very simple but beach appropiate, you can glam it up with your jewelry or a nice intricate boler/wrap/shawl like this recent post:

it adds drama for next to nothing $$.

Good luck!

The dress looks quite lovely and appropriate for a beach wedding, but you should try to take some pictures of yourself in the dress to show to us or your friends.  I tried on a lot of dresses that would look beautiful on another bride, but didn’t work for my figure.

I think it’s beautiful!! Simple and elegant sometimes does look best. The good part about a simple dress is that you can also make it unique with accessories.

I love the crew dress!  I don’t think it needs anything.  Simple and elegant.

Good choice.  I like it. You can dress up your dress with your flowers as well as maybe flowers in your hair.

I am not a bling/bedazzle kind of gal and went with a very simple dress.  I wanted to feel like I was wearing my dress and not that the dress was wearing me : )

I also love the crew dress! If you are worried about the dress falling b/c of your chest you can add straps (as suggested above) or if you dont like the strap look I would take it to a good tailor to see what they recommend. If a dress fits you properly it shouldn’t fall, no matter your chest size.

I also love the bolero’s on the link above!

I love the dress. Perfect simple beach chic. I would add some pearls, maybe some coin pearl jewelry mixed with other stones in..etsy has some gorgeous necklaces and earrings that would look gorgeous with that!  Definitely necklace, earrings and maybe a bracelet.

for some reason to me, coin pearls seem elegant but have a "beachy" feel to them.  I’m getting my b’maids some coin pearl jewelry from etsy!

The JCrew dress FOR SURE!! Just get to tailored to fit you like a glove! Absolutely perfect for your casual beach wedding and I think anything more formal would look out of place. I LOVE it, love it. Don’t change!!!

i love that jcrew dress too, i think it is beautiful and simple and as long as you like the way it fits when you try it in march you’re good to go!  and if you start to feel like it is TOO plain for you, it would be super easy to add a few little embellishments (a pretty white ribbon belt perhaps?)

The dress is beautiful, but the most important thing is how it looks on you.  Dresses can look beautiful on the rack or online, but your body can take it from so-so to amazing!  Or the dress may not flatter your shape at all.  But as for the dress itself, you can’t go wrong with it!  Due to its simpler design, I think it will draw a lot of attention to your face.

@Bellenga, what Etsy designer did you purchase your coin pearl jewelry from?

@lkl- I love the dress, and I think it’s going to look even better on you than on a model who has a very straight up and down body.

If you get the top fitted properly, you won’t need to worry about grabbing at the top, but I do agree that your dress would look great with a couple of maybe sparkley spaghetti straps (which is so what I wanted to do until I found my dress).

I think it is just great!

i love the jcrew dress! use some bold jewlery and a headpiece to add some drama, but it is definitely not boring. there is a bra at victoria’s secret that i love and requires NO pulling up! it is a strapless corset with no boning (can’t access the link right now, sorry).

I love the JCrew dress, I think it’s perfect for a seaside wedding, like Bellenga said, with a great necklace it will be stunning. Also I wouldn’t worry about the strapless, I used to be a 16/18 with a larger chest and as long as your dress fits right & with a great strapless bra it will be perfect.
