I continue to narrow down my dress search and am just so indecisive! I wasn’t able to bring anyone along when I went so I’d love your opinions or critiques on whether you think this dress is flattering on me? I wasn’t really going for the princessy look but the website describes it as a “princess” dress. It is San Patrick Zerelda.

the waistband looks a bit wide but overall, it is a classic silhouette for a reason. but more importantly, how do you feel in it? do you love it? do you feel like a beautiful bride in it?

There are aspects of it that I like, but I’m not sure I feel like the top and bottom go together? The top looks white/lacey while the bottom looks like ivory satin. I think I would like it more if it were strapless (and I’m generally a fan of straps) and/or a more uniform color. I really like the bottom, except, butt lace.

bourdon: Your “butt lace” comment made me laugh but I can see what you mean by where the veil falls. As for the mismatch, the top and bottom are definitely both ivory in real life. The lighting in the bridal salon wasn’t the most flattering, but I can see what you mean about the different fabrics looking a bit disjointed.
spbee: I also was concerned with how wide the waist part is. I worry it cuts me in half a bit. I do feel beautiful in the dress, though! I have another contender that is entirely different that I also feel beautiful in which is why I’m hoping to narrow it down.

A royal would definitly wear something that beautiful and classically styled. So it counts as a Princess dress. I think it looks 100% classy but feel a narrower waist band would be even nicer.

It’s pretty, but the waist seems sooooo wide around your tiny waist! The top is gorgeous, but I don’t love the simple satin bottom! Good luck!

It is a beautiful, classic dress! I suspect it is described as “princess-y” because Kate wore lace on top and a full bottom, so now anything even slightly similar gets compared that way. It sparked the revival of the trend, so why not. Looks great on you! Agree with PP that I might look for a different veil, though.
