Long story short…I ordered my dress online. Who does that?!? Anyway, my mom wanted to go dress shopping with me and so did my sister but everyone kept canceling or changing the date to do it and I kept having to try to reschedule and they would never commit to a day with me. I have a busy schedule and can only go on weekends and my mom means well but she’s so busy and is dealing with a lot of health issues going on with both of my grandparents and taking them to Dr appts. anyway, I felt bad about going dress shopping alone so I just ordered one. Please give me your honest opinions so I can have some feedback. Im really happy with it but want to see what y’all think since only my sister has seen it. I would add a skinny beaded silver belt and I’m wearing a beaded baby breath flower crown.

I love, Love, LOVE the lace!

I like it! Add a skinny belt and it should look beautiful. But, most important, do you like it as well?

I love the colour and style of the lace :). Definitely add a belt to it.
It comes down to the look you want…if this is the look you want (as in not Aline, Ballgown, Mermaid etc) then it looks fantastic 🙂

I like it! I would add a belt and a delicate necklace.

You look very beautiful in it. A belt will help define your waist. You have a great figure..might as well show it off. Will you be veiling too?

katydaisy: I’m going to preface this by saying it looks like you could pull any dress off beautifully. You have a fantastic figure. The dress fits you pretty well and is very flattering from the side and back…. But… And this is being super picky… I think the straight seams down the front take away from the effect of the dress. The skinny belt might break up the lines and soften the effect. Having it taken in at the waist might help too. Take it to a seamstress if you want to keep it but aren’t 100% sold. I’m having my $200 sample dress recostructed into what I want. A good seamstress can do just about anything!

ferncully: thanks for the honesty. I plan to take in the bust, natural waist, and lower the back slightly. I wish I had added a picture with the belt I was borrowing (it was just my sisters silver belt, but would have given you all a better idea of how it looks with a more defined waist)

I think it’s pretty but doesnt do your figure justice. Im sure there is a dress that would show off more curves 🙂

I LOVE it so much on you! I agree with the others that it seems like you could go with any dress, and it would flatter you! My only thought is that it seems like a bit could be taken in around your waist to empasize those curves a bit more! Other than that, it’s perfect!

I think it’s a really pretty dress and looks good on you – I think it isnt as form-fitting as it could be but it also looks like it might just need to be altered a little to fit you better is all. It’ll be perfect once you bring it in! Congratulations 😊

katydaisy: I voted “Love it”, but I agree that it needs some tailoring.

Agreed.. Love the dress. With a little alteration it could be perfect! Very Nice!

Your simple sheath- stye dress is supremely elegant and you have the right figure to wear it well. I think a belt will undermine your streamlined sillouette but I think a very gorgeous “statement” necklace ( or something that doesn’t really make a statement…a simple string of pearls for example) would compliment your dress perfectly. I’d be inclined to play up the “vertical”, streamlined look by wearing high , slim-line heels and carrying a long trailing bouquet.
I think you have all the makings of a very beautiful, classy bride.
