I think it’s beautiful, but I also worried the same thing and ended up going with a fit and flare, which worked great for my body. Didn’t make me look bigger, but va-va-voomed the curves in the places I wanted it to 🙂

Michelle Nicole :  You look gorgeous in this dress! Like, seriously lovely. I think how it looks in the picture is great. It kind of follows your curves a tiny bit before it flares out, giving you more of a sultry queen look rather than poofy pageant princess. I would just be careful about the slip you choose to go underneath it. Make sure it doesn’t pull the dress out too much at the hips. I’d say look into some A-line slips rather than slips designed for a traditional ballgown.

Love it.  Your waist looks tiny, I love the volume, and you will never, EVER get to wear a gown like this again! Pretty good chance you’ll get to wear a trumpet/mermaid to another event! #justsayin

I don’t think the big skirt is unflattering at all. I’m not loving the drop waist line though truthfully, which is not unique to your or the dress. I just don’t dig it. I prefer a natural waist line.

I think the skirt looks great, but the bodice in the picture is swallowing you whole. It looks like that’s the sample you tried on, and maybe it wasn’t the best fit for you- is that the case? If so, I’d reserve judgment until your dress comes in and is altered for you. From the pictures, it looks like its fit is distorting your figure. I do think the sparkle in the skirt is neat!

Far from making you look big, I think the dress has a sliimming effect with it’s full skirt. It’s the perfect look fora castle wedding.

I ordered a balll gown (ruffles so it’s even bigger than yours you can post stalk me to see) in September. I just went to try it on but ever since September I kept wanting and wanting a form fitted dress. I asked them if I could try on trumpet and fit and flares tonight (while I tried on my ball gown).

I ended up buying a new dress there was no comparison. I’m SO happy, even though I have to sell my first dress and my second dress was kind of pricey. I actually had a moment where I shed a tear.

I took my Maid/Matron of Honor and a friend the first time and this time I went alone because I didn’t want anyone’s opinion.

i think your dress is beautiful and beautiful on you but only you know what you want and it’s your special day!
