I think it would be very hard to pull off and look your best in. It could make even the most slender girl look like she has big hips and a larger stomach. It probably won’t be timeless, but few wedding dresses are. I am more concerned in how you would look in it.

I have a really hard time giving an opinion on a dress when it’s on the model. They can look sooooooooooo different in person! I guess I’m not really a fan of the way the top part looks totally disjointed from the bottom, and that cut over the hips might not be the most flattering.

I think it’s pretty, but I’m not in love with the skirt part of it.  I don’t think it meshes well with the top.  I’d love to see a pic of you in it if you have one, though.

I think it is a very pretty dress.  But I do agree with the PP that it might be hard to look good in depending on your figure.  BUT, I do like it much more than your last dress.  ๐Ÿ™‚

The dress is pretty, but I agree with PPs that it could easily make hips look big. Just depends on your shape…. need some pics on!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m surprised at the results of this poll. I happen to think that dress is gorgeous! I went back and looked at the dress in your other post, not a fan at all. But this one is very romantic and sophisticated.

@inky_1:  I would say it would have to be a dress that you would need to try on. I am a different shape than you, but have tried on similarly cut dresses. They put at least 20 pounds on me. For you, it might be more flattering, but try it on to be sure.

@inky_1:  wow, congrats on your weight loss!!

Have you actually gone in to try on dresses at all?  If you really have no idea what will look good on you, or what you might like, just go in!!! I think you’ll find it’s really fun, and you’ll get a much better idea of what direction you want to go in.  I looked at dresses for a couple of months online before going to try some on. I was hell bent on getting something non traditional, and definitely nothing form fitting.  But after trying on about 150 dresses, I finally decided on a tradtional form fitting dress.  Plus, if you go in blindly, the associates are always eager to help you find what looks great on you, and they are experienced! ๐Ÿ™‚
