I posted on here a little while ago but soon deleted my post as my fiancé got worried he’d see my dress. I have since changed my name on here so feel comfortable enough to go ahead and post pictures of my dress! So here goes!
Never thought I’d go for blush or “girly” but here I am. Thoughts? My mum keeps telling me it’s a “fairy tale” dress which totally rubs me up the wrong way for some reason! I’m quite a young bride so I’m just conscious of it not looking too princessy.
What do you bees think? I’m thrilled with it but just never thought I would have chosen something like this!!
Also… Any ideas for a headpiece? I originally wanted a flower crown but dont think this dress would allow it…
Thank you bees! xx

Pretty! I love blush dresses! I think a flower crown would still be very romantic and beautiful! If not, I recommend a very plain cathedral veil!

oh so pretty! Sure, you could wear a flower crown. Your dress is flow-y so I think a flower crown goes with it somewhat, although it’s more formal leaning.
I think of flower corwns as being more for dresses of a more relaxed fabric and in sheath and column silouettes, but maybe that’s just me.
Is a fascinator type headpiece too formal for you? Or something something small and sleek, like a jeweled pink feather hair clip. Someone artsy could do something very interesting with pink veiling fabric and flowers.

My honest opinion is that it looks more like a prom dress than a wedding dress. However, you may take this with a grain of salt because I am not a fan of blush dresses, and I don’t like straight across strapless necklines. If you like it, then that’s all that matters.

I think a flower crown would be perfect and I think your dress is beautiful. The colour is particulalry appealing and will tone with so many shades of pink flowers for your bouquet choice and for that flower crown.

AlmostMrsA_16: It is simple and elegant. I think a flower crown with it would look amazing! I am not a fan of the flower at the waistline. I think a belt/sash would be better.

I think your dress is ultra romantic. Now, I am a blush bride so that impacts my thoughts. I think you could do a floral crown, but Im the biggest fan of those so I would go with a simple tulle veil or some hair jewlery….

misschickpea: Thank you! I had planned on a veil but feel like it’s all going to get a bit tizzy if I have this type of feminine dress plus a flower crown plus a veil… But I don’t know what to choose! What do you think of a birdcage veil?
FauxPas2012: Thanks so much! I love the feather headpiece idea… Something different. I actually went for this dress because it was so different, so something to compliment th fact would be perfect. If you see anything please share!
Trevor.Philips: I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but thank you for your opinion anyway. I am a little concerned it looks like a prom dress as I am young – but it is actually ivory. It’s just the tulle that is blush. Any opinions on how to make it more bridal?
observer: Oh thank you! That made me smile to hear someone compliment the colour! You’re right it is very easy to compliment colours with… I’m having a ball with theme colours in neutrals…
SoonMrsCrocker2: I had the same reaction initially to he flowers at the middle but without it’s just too plain. And they actually grew on me! I couldn’t imagine it without… But then again I feel like the flowers at the middle mean I can’t have flowers in my hair… Would you agree? Thanks for your thoughts.
pengoala: Ah thank you!! So lovely. I’m surprised and happy to hear you think a flower crown could still work! I have been dreaming of wearing once since before I was engaged but just don’t know how to with this dress! Will definitely persue the idea now that I’ve had some positive feedback though. Thank you 🙂
Mrs.Z.: Thanks so much! I think romantic is the right word, that’s how I felt about it! I really hope it’s seen as romantic and not like I’m wearing a prom dress… That’s my worst fear. So I loved that you used that word. I agree, hair jewellery would be lovely… I just can’t decide. If you see anything online please let me know?

If any other bees have opinions I would love to hear. I’m still getting used to the idea of a blush gown so please lay it on me! xx

AlmostMrsA_16: I think that this one would be PERFECT! It’s light enough that it won’t overpower your dress, but totally gorgeous and dreamy! I say go for it!!
