Would you be willing to give me some feedback on a dress I tried on today? Here’s the deal — I had no intention of trying on dresses until August when I met my fitness goal (15-20lbs less and toned) but one of the dresses I have had my eye on was being discontinued and I wanted to get in there and at least try it on in case I loved it.
I liked it. And I tried on another one, and liked it. And tried on this dress and loved it! I didn’t cry, jump up and down, or swear that THIS IS THE ONE — but I feel like that is how I have to feel about my groom, not my dress. That said, it would be nice to have some opinions.
So what do you think, Bees? The dress is David’s Bridal WG3438 (https://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Swiss-Dot-Tulle-Empire-Waist-Soft-Wedding-Gown-WG3438):

love it! You could totally add a cute sash/belt and bling it up(:

Very pretty! Love the neckline and how pretty the skirt falls. Glad you had some success!

I love the flow and simplicity of the dress. I personally might want some sort of sash! 🙂
PS- You look gorgeous!

I love the dress, but you have a very nice figure. I think this one covers too much of it. I think you would look amazing in a fit and flare.

Lovely dress but I think it makes your torso look short. I think if the rouching came down a bit further, it would elongate your body.

I love it! Which I must add is not common since I am not usually afan of dresses of that material but I really do like it!

I am not a sash person but I have to agree that I think a pretty sash would make this dress look stunning!
By The Way I love flowy dresses so I’m kinda biased

Wow, it looks beautiful on you!

I think it’s nice on you but TBH I think you could find something better.
I agree with the PP and think a fit and flare will look amazing on you. Show off that great body don’t hide it:)))))))

Thanks to all for all of the opinions! So helpful! I didn’t even think about a belt/sash/bling factor — definitely something to look into — thank you!
@lina010 – I do have a short torso! I may try to find a few styles that don’t draw attention to that!
@lh526 – Fit and flare is what I had originally thought I had wanted so I may try to find a few others to try on. Thank you for the compliment!
@FreckledFox – Thank you for the compliment! Very sweet!
@futuremrsmp – I also love the neckline, which was a total surprise to me — I thought I wanted to stay away from sweetheart necklines!

I have to be completely honest, I think you’re too pretty for that dress. (I love your hair, BTW!) The way to know if “it’s the one” is to keep trying on dresses you like. If you compare every single one to this dress, it’s the one for you. If you find something else, you know it’s not. I didn’t get the crying, emotional feeling after trying on my dress, but I compared EVERYTHING else I tried on to it, and eventually I just realized that nothing would compare!

*gasp* I searched high and low for that dang dress because my Fiance swore it was the one! I never got to try it on. I think the style of the dress is very flattering to all figures, and it would look even more amazing once it’s fitted! (And you can’t beat the price)

Thank you, thank you, Bees! I will keep you updated on if I end up going with this one or go another route! I really appreciate all the kind comments and the constructive comments, too!
