I feel like I have a personality disorder when trying to settle on a wedding dress
Part of me wants dramatic over the top but gorgeous
then I also like
a short dress
a steampunk dress
a vintage dress (which will look out of place with my decor)
a classic dress
a huge gypsy style dress (hahaha crazyy I know!)
a medevil dress?? (don’t ask)
a simple sweet lace dress
a high fashion dress
something totally diffrent and crazy (what most;y expected of me)
a colored dress
a blush dress (probably wont go with my back and white damask/purple envisionment)
a homecoming-ish dress
and then part of me says scrap it all and go to vegas. I know I would regret it if I did that.
I have tried on and love so many types of dresses I can’t decide!!
I’ve thought of getting a plain tulle ballgown and playing up my accessories too make it my own.
In my everyday Life I can be all those things any day I want I can just pick and choose my style however I feel that day but I can’t for my wedding I have to pick way in advance.
When I envision my wedding I see diffrent things too but I know I can incorporate my favorite trends and off beat style and make it work easily.
anybody else feel ike this??

@brittanyfm91: I’m sorry, but I had to giggle while reading this. Its just like how I felt.
Have you actually tried on dresses yet? Once I tried some on I started figuring out for sure what I liked and didnt like. Like I wanted a blue dress, but I tried one on and… It just wasnt a dress I could get married in.

@scarsbee: I keep envisioning deffrent dresses each time. It makes me feel so A.D.D
@allyfally: I have tried on alot of dresses and I know I don’t want mermaid or really form fitting. Besides that I love almost everything. I think I have a problem.

@brittanyfm91: Well, typically ( I think) the dress sets the tone for the wedding. But, in your case, I might suggest planning more of the wedding, and then shopping for a dress based on what you come up with.

@FutureCuomo6610: I have been doing bsically that I’m usually very sure of what I want and I always thought I would wear a princess dress when I thought about getting married I was very princessy growing up but hen my taste changed drastically in middle school/highschool and I became more “edgy” more “alternative” for lack of better words and while that personality was alway there I was strange my whole life it just intesified when I met people of similiar taste and then I had kids and it changed yet again to a mixture of both. And I am now confused…. here where my two prominent visions
Big white poofy ballgown with everything being red/white and elegant just going all out and fancy.
black or red dress still a ballgown though but more steampunk-ish
and lots of candles and more of a club vibe and a bit twisted if I do say so myself.
and now I am more normal but my taste is a blend of both think avril-ish sort of.

@brittanyfm91: I know exactly what you mean! I haven’t tried anything on yet, but I’ve been looking online and I just want ALL OF THE DRESSES. Maybe it’s because I just haven’t found The Dress yet?

@BluSptLvR: I would have loved that 6 years ago but woah my first thought was “too much going on”

@Carlasgettingmarried: maybe so. It doesn’t help that I just like dresses in general. I don’t wear them often but I love dresses and have a ton of them.

I would focus on all other aspects of your wedding first. We chose our venue before I went dress shopping so that narrowed down a lot of choices. Maybe that would help you narrow it down too?
