So awhile ago I posted this thread: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/dress-regretdecision-to-make-in-3-hours#axzz2MR4090uX
I canceled the first dress in that thread and then kind of took a break to think about things. Last week I went shopping again and have some more options to consider and would like opinions.
First is Mori Lee. This one feels more “me” than the other one, but I also kind of think it might be too simple. I like the belt I had on with it, but I didn’t really look at it from the back with the belt, and it’s a corset back so won’t that look weird?
The second choice is Maggie Sottero Anniston. It’s a beautiful dress, feels a little more special, but I’m not sure if it’s really right for me or as flattering as the Mori Lee.
I have also been in contact with a bride selling a Vera Wang Gemma (original dream dress) that is damaged. It would be in my budget because of the damage, depending on how much it will cost to get it fixed. I am waiting on a seamstress to get back to me about that one. I have tried it on but I don’t have any pictures, and I am having trouble remembering if I thought it looked as good on me as the top one. It would also be at least $1000 more, plus the hassle and worry if it will turn out okay, so I’m just not sure. Opinions or other suggestions?

I like the Mori Lee a lot! It’s the most flattering and I don’t think it looks simple at all. The belt dresses it up.

The Mori Lee is gorgeous on you! I don’t think it is too simple, and if you don’t like the belt to have strings in the back, could they sew it in? It would have a gap, but would look like it was part of the dress at least.

Which dress do you LOVE? Which one are you happiest in?
I would vote the first one, since you seem to like it most!

I am biased here. The Anniston was the dress that was in competition with the gown I did end up getting. The picture does not do it justice at all. That dress was just amazing. I loved how it felt on me, it was light and it hugged my body in all the right places. So I picked that one….

That Mori Lee is gorgeous and not too simple at all. You look amazing!

That Mori Lee looks fabulous on you!

@BrandNewBride: At the store I definitely was the happiest with the Mori Lee. It’s just once I got home and started looking at the pictures that I got worried that it’s too plain.

The Mori Lee looks great on you. Not simple at all. I am not a big fan of Vera myself; all of her stuff just looks messy and unfinished to me.

Hard decision they are both really nice but I prefer dress 1 but not by much:)

Wow Mori Lee is the clear winner of the poll. I think that style is definitely what I am more comfortable with, and I’m going to go back and look at some more options for a belt and how they look with the corset. Thanks everyone!

Mori Lee looks great on you!

Can you change the corset into a zipper/button back? The Mori Lee looks stunning on you. The Aniston is pretty too, but the Mori Lee gives you a more defined shape.

@magicmoments: I voted for the Mori Lee. Not only does it look great on you, it also sounds as though it’s the one that made you feel best (and that does mean something!).
I don’t think it’s too plain, though I do like the addition of a belt/sash to give a little something extra. You should be able to have the belt sewn in so it won’t look weird with the corset back.

I voted to keep looking…not because i don’t think both dresses look AMAZING on you, but because you seem to be doubting both. I actually had the same feelings as you, and even posted threads asking people to vote on two dresses I liked. I ended up going back and trying on more dresses and fell in LOVE with a new and different dress. My advice is to sleep on it, go back and try on more dresses along with these two. After stepping away for a little bit, clearing your head, and trying them back on you will know which dress is yours. I hope this helps, and good luck!
