I have done 2 previous polls before already because i was not 100% sure on the dresses i like the most.. however it has been a while since my last poll and i have continue to dream about the feather dress from La Sposa.. however, Fiance wants me to get cheaper dress.. and my mom prefers ruffle skirt.. so I found one that meets both my Fiance and my mom likes! I like it very much, it is simple and i can bling it up.. whats moreee i found it on preownedwedding dress for $400 less than original price! so now the price gap is $1000 between my top 2 dresses making it even more difficult for me to decide…
I dont mind selling after but i know that selling a dress aint that easy so i dont want to make a decision based on that..
If you were me, which one would you get?
Dress #1 – Feather – $1000 more
Dress #2 – Ruffles – Cheapest
Have any bee decided to NOT purchase the dress of your dreams and have no regrets?

I like the top of dress 1, but I love the bottom of dress 2. What if you took dress 2 and altered it? Remove the sleeve and make it a sweetheart neckline? I think that silhouette up top does WONDERS more for you.

I like how much smoother the first dress looks. It’s very airy. Both look fantastic on your figure but I also agree about the sweetheart top. Everything about dress 1 is totally flattering and beautiful!

I’m going to go with the minority! Can you get the second, remove the strap, and change the neckline into a sweetheart? It’d save you a ton of money and give you a similar look!

Yeah the second dress can be strapless.. as to making it sweatheart it is possible too.. i have seen this dress where other brides have done it and it looks great! but then alterations cost will creep up… who knows how much =/
With dress 1 i can pay $120 and get the lenght i need so i will not have to hem it and hopefully not too much alterations in the bust area..
my wedding is going to be end of november 2013.. if that helps..

I’m a newbie, can i comment?
Had i not seen dress number 1 i would have said that dress number 2 was “all you” minus the shoulder strap. However, you can really see the difference in quality between the two dresses.
If it were me, honestly, i would still go with dress# 2, remove the strap and put the extra dough in my pocket. Both dresses are lovely on you either way.

Normally I am not a fan of feather dresses, but I much prefer the first dress on you!

I love the feather dress on you. It really flatters your figure well. However, a 1000 dollars is a lot of money. I dont know what your budget is like to say whether or not that’s worth it. You really have to decide if it’s worth the extra for you

I would buy dress one and cut back elsewhere in the budget to make it up. It just look so amazing!

@Miss Panda: yeah.. $1000 is a lot.. i had wanted to spend $1500 total for dress and alterations btu willing to spend up to $2000.. the feathers dress is at $1825 plus tax and custom hem lenght it is at the max already.. i can afford it but i dont know if it is worth the extraa grand..

I don’t understand the trends in some dresses, only because I don’t think ruffles look good on anybody in bulk. A ruffle here and there is great, but maybe I just don’t get it. 🙁
The lesser of the two evils for me would be the ruffles here.

@Hyperventilate: lol.. lesser of two evils.. this is a first 😀 .. i tried going with simplier gowns and almost bought the one below when Fiance and I were seriously considering cancelling the wedding and eloping.. pretty but i wanted a bit more frills now that we are going with the full wedding jeje

@lstyle25: Haha. I find that dress to be beautiful! I’m all for brides buying whatever they like. At the end of the day, you’re a bride in a pretty dress. I prefer simple, streamlined dresses as opposed to the “Fun and flirty” (In my opinion) ruffles and feathers. I think a woman will look and feel fantastic in anything she buys…. ruffles just aren’t my cup of tea.
