@blessings:  Thank you. πŸ™‚  I have thought about working in bridal in some manner, since I truly do love it, and I’ve still not found a job in my field in the area to which I relocated after marrying my Darling Husband.

Yes, I do have some additional thoughts to offer. First, rest assured that, from the perspectives of your guests and your wedding pictures, you really cannot go wrong with either of these gowns. You have an amazing figure, and you are going to be a gorgeous bride no matter which of these two dresses you choose.  Often, that is not the case when a bride is trying to decide between two dresses, but, in this case, I really think both of these gowns will look fantastic on you.

If I were you, here is how I would make this decision.  One of these two dresses is definitely more remarkable than the other and will make a more significant statement than the other.  I believe that the dress that is the more remarkable of the two is the Allure, because it has some very specific detailing that is not common to so many other dresses.  If you choose the Allure, choose it because YOU are in love with those details — the lace, the texture, the specific lines/cut of the dress, the beautiful floral sash, etc. If you choose this dress, choose it BECAUSE of those details — because YOU love them.  Do not choose this dress in SPITE of any of those significant details.

If, on the other hand, you have any significant hesitation about any detail of the Allure, if any particular noteworthy design element BOTHERS you or concerns you in any way, I would hesitiate to choose this dress. It makes a statement, so you need to be sure that it is the statement that YOU WANT to make.  Does that make sense?

The Essence Organza is a simply beautiful, cohesive, flowing, very elegant dress.  It fits you amazingly well.  The lines of this dress fall so wonderfully and effortlessly across your lovely figure.  The dress itself is dreamy, light, ethereal, and beautiful.  I am not a huge fan of organza as a fabric, but it drapes SO beautifully in the design and the design appears to be very well executed on this gown.  Although there is no particular “stand-out” detailing on this dress, there is nothing about this dress that I do not like. It is just … BEAUTIFUL.

You EASILY could choose either one of these gowns, and you will be a stunning bride.  However, ONE of these two dresses is going to BE and FEEL MORE like YOU. Whether you know it or not yet, even though you are feeling very torn between these two dresses, if you HAD to say goodbye to one of them, never to see or wear it again, you would begin to feel very sad at the thought of NOT being able to wear one of these dresses.  If you imagine yourself as having committed to (i.e. agreed to marry, lol) one of these dresses, and forsaking all others — including the other one of these two — you are going to know which of these two dresses you simply will be crushed if you do NOT have the opportunity to wear it.

I hope this makes sense. πŸ™‚

I love both, but I really love that Essence one, especially with a wide sparkly belt like on that pink dress you posted. Gorrrrgeous.

This was tough because both dresses look AMAZING on you, and I like both for different reasons. I don’t think the Allure is too busy. . . in fact, I think it’s timeless! The lace is just enough and I love the back of it. I also love the Essence because it’s simple, but still really elegant. Adding a sash would definitely be a nice touch. At the end, I voted for the essence!

@blessings:  I guess I am so interested in helping other brides, because I have a lot of dress regret myself, almost every day when I see the gorgeous gowns on this site.  You now have two, absolutely stunning dresses from which to choose, so you should be extremely pleased no matter which decision you end up making.

Yes, if I were you, I absolutely would make the four-hour, round trip plus try-on time to see the Allure gown again.  Your peace of mind about this choice is likely well worth the half day of your time and the gas money you will spend in determining how you truly feel about this dress.

As for the Essence, it is a very beautiful, blank canvas upon which you may accessorize with great confidence. As long as you keep to some basic design/fashion rules (less is more, choose a dominant element, etc.), you will not look overdone in that dress. I absolutely love the blingy belts you’re considering. You will just need to try them on with the gown to see what thickness looks best to you. I’m thinking that something in the three-to-four-inch height range would be best, but I would have to see the belts on you with the dress to be sure.  Right now, I’m thinking that a two-inch high belt would be too thin and anything over four inches would likely be too thick.  Along with that, I would wear a pair of long, gorgeous, sparkly earrings and a blingy bracelet on your right wrist. (I’ll save discussion of veils and headpieces until after you choose a dress.)

As for accessorizing the Allure, because of all of the gorgeous and detailed design elements on that dress, you would want to choose ONLY a small bracelet and a pair of more subtle earrings and nothing else, besides your headpiece and/or veil.  The dress itself already has so many beautiful details, you don’t want to add anything to compete with them or that would stand out too dramatically on its own.

Go try on the Allure and see how you feel, what you think, and then make your decision.

Finally, I will add this consideration:  Make sure that you are comfortable with and have confidence in the bridal salon where you purchase your dress as well as in its alterations team.  You likely will need to make a number of trips (perhaps as many as three or four) there in the future for your fittings.

I truly cannot wait to hear what you decide!!! πŸ™‚

@blessings:  Based on everything that I’ve seen you write on all three of your threads, I agree that, deep down, you really think that you love and want to wear the Allure. Laughing You likely will know for sure once you have it on again.  It’s an absolutely stunning dress!

As for adding a fit-and-flare crinoline, I think you definitely could wear one for added fullness if you would like, but you probably don’t have to if you should find that you don’t like the way it feels/looks.

Once you order your dress, I hope that you will post your considerations for jewelry, too. Goodness knows we bees have fun voting on accessories!

I think the Allure is 10 times more flattering and I love it way more in general and on you! I think there really isn’t such a thing as too much I mean its your wedding day. But ultimately go with whichever one YOU love more.

    You are stunning!

I vote for Essence, NO BELT. I think it looked more elegant, less fussy with no belt. And yes, those little suckers are expensive.

My opinion is that in Essence with no belt, your body (and glowing face) will do the talking. You don’t need the flashy accessories, YOU are the wow factor. Shine on!

You look great in both but I’d go with #2! It’s definitely not boring or plain. A fabulous belt like the photos you posted would definitely jazz it up if that’s what you feel like you’re missing from it!
