One of my favorite things to do on the bee is look at ladies in their dresses. And I love when people post pics in multiple dresses and ask for opinions. That being said I get really annoyed when people post pictures of dresses on models and say which one should I choose? Its useless to ask for an opinion without seeing you in the dress. The only way people can respond is by picking their own personal favorite dress which is really no help to the bride because everyone has such varied tastes. So if you don’t have pics of you in the dress don’t bother asking for advice…just my opinion though!

Although I agree with you, some dress stores do not allow pictures, so sometimes it’s not possible to post a picture of you in the dress.

Where is the “Like!” button! 🙂 I mean I love looking at the dresses in magazines… but really I have no idea as to how they look on real brides as opposed to the ultra thin and often bored or angry looking models.

I agree with what NauticalBride said. Just because someone was unfortuante enough to maybe deal with a store that has a stick up its butt, doesnt mean they can ask for an opinion.
I enjoy looking at dress posts, even if it’s model pictures.

I agree OP. People sneak camera phone pics in the dressing room.

Thats what makes a dress even more special and unique, is when your dress and your body make a MIRACLE!!! lol

I agree with zippylef, I like looking at dress pics regardless of who its on 🙂

I can understand when people were unable to take pictures at the store (I snuck cell pics at Kleinfelds its not THAT hard) but the most annoying thing is when people post model pics before they’ve even gone dress shopping.

@MrsPinkPeony:I like all dress pics too. But I just don’t think people can give an opinion as to which dress people should choose when you don’t see it on them. The model pics look completely different than a dress does on a “real” person.

I don’t mind the model pics that much. I think what makes it a problem for me is when the poster asking for opinion doesn’t include a pic of themselves AT ALL. The dresses themselves may be awesome but without a visual of the person asking for advice, it’s hard to see if the dress will fit awesome on her.

I totally agree but I understand if you are not able to take pics in the dresses, but then state that in the post.
I have thought this exact post in my head many times 🙂

@Belle2Be: i agree about the camera phone, i have even snuck my real camera in my purse and took a picture of myself in the mirror….but i have to add in one experience where the dress consultant would not leave me alone in the dressing room or allow my friend in there! she meant business when she said no pics!
