I think it would look amazing with a bolero.. maybe even one in a contrasting color.. beautiful dress.

I would go with a satin one, similar to the Maggie Rachael – to match the fabric of your dress.  I think it would look great and offer a second look for the reception since you can take it off to dance!

Anything would work with that dress! It’s incredible as it is but if you want a bolero it would definitely work too.

Some dress labels make long-sleeved boleros that look like part of the dress but are removable, like this Mori Lee here:

…Is that what you meant in your second post?

I think your dress definitely is simple (minimum beading and embroidery, no lace) enough that you could wear that lace bolero and look great!  The ruching gives the dress great definition, but I don’t think the bolero would take away from it.

So what did you end up going with? I amskirt of in the same situation.  I have the Maggie sottero rachelle dress.  Which is taffeta with some beads.  I was thinking about getting some lace cap sleves made to attach for the ceremony.  I don’t really care for the satin or taffeta boleros. But I am not sure if the lace clashes too much??
