Aw, hun I’m sorry you don’t like your dress 🙁  She didn’t even give you an option?  My BMs are different shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities… I picked a color and told them to select a dress that is their style, comfortable, and affordable.  I’m sorry your friend didn’t offer you the same courtesy.  Just think- you’ll be standing during the ceremony & pics!!  Besides, as long as there is a table cloth people won’t be able to see your legs- and even if they can see them, hopefully their focus will be on the happy couple and not your calves.

Sorry about the dress, I have been in a similar situation and had a wrap with me that I put in my lap for more coverage during dinner etc and when sitting.

I think that brides and bridemaids should try to pick dresses together and BOTH be happy with what is chosen. I let my girls pick and I’m not happy with all the choices, I should have spoken up and tried to find something we both liked. Instead I just gave them colour and fabric I wanted and let them chose anything. Sounds nice in theory but it doesn’t work lol. On the other hand the last wedding I was in I had to wear a bright coloured, short dress that hid nothing and was a horrible unflattering cut. I wish I had some say on that dress, I felt so exposed in it and like a giant bright eyesore.

Not much advice I can give, start drinking early lol, that’s what I did and try the wrap idea.

Awe, I’m sorry you don’t like your dress 🙁 It is for this reason that I let all of my BMs chose their own dresses. It’s impossible to find a dress that everyone loves, so as long as they are happy in their dresses, I am happy.

I’m sorry you don’t like the dress.  I had to wear a dress a few years ago that would only look good on a 5’10” 130lb girl.  I amd 5’5″ and was about 200 at the time.  It was super fun.

Hang in there and just remember that it’s one night.  Get your hair and makeup done to help you feel better.  And, any chance of getting a spray tan between now and then?  I find that when I’m not as pale, I feel better.
