I’m having some dress regret too, now that it’s all said and done.  I still love my dress, I just wish I could go back in time and get the same dress with a V-neck/straps instead of strapless because I don’t think it looked flattering from behind.  But c’est la vie…

@spice_01:  i think you’ll love it again soon, part of it might be the realisation that you only get one wedding day, and one wedding dress which can be hard when there is so much to choose from.

where is your sash from, or is it part of the dress? i want one the same!

Please don’t try on wedding dresses after your wedding. It would be completely crazypants. What would you say to the store owner when they say, “When’s the date?” “Oh, I’m married, I’m just wasting your time, store-owner.”

Your pictures are beautiful.

Your body was definitely shown off in that dress. But not in the “hey, look at my hips!!!!” way that a mermaid does. This is classy and sophisticated but if you look properly it’s sexy in its hinting (the cinching at the waist, the sweetheart neckline, the subtle outline of your thighs) and slight mystery.

A mermaid would have given you a completely different look on the day, you look classic, happy and beautiful. That lace veil with your hair up – gorgeous! I honestly think that your husband is telling you the truth when he says that he loved it, how could he not?!

1. You were beautiful.

2. I don’t think there’s any such thing as the ONE PERFECT DRESS; lots of brides feel strongly about one, but probably try on lots of beautiful dresses anyway.

3. Devil’s advocate here – let’s say it wasn’t the PERFECT dress for you. (I think you were perfect! But I’m just going with a what-if scenario.) What would happen as a result of wearing a less-than-perfect dress? Nothing. Even if your pictures looked kind of off (which they don’t!) you’d be married to your sweetheart and you’d be happy together. Some brides put a lot of importance on the dress, and SYTTD isn’t helping any… it’s just an accessory. It’s just one of many tools you used to get to the end result of marrying your honey. And you’re there now, aren’t you?

You look absolutely stunning!!!!!!!! More importantly, you look happy and in love 🙂 Please don’t go try another dress on. It will not erase your fears or your dress regret, and might make things worse if your tastes now have changed. How long ago was your initial dress shopping? I’m guessing close to a year ago? I think you need to just appreciate how beautiful you looked and realize that honestly you probably could have chosen any dress and your husband would have thought you looked wonderful. Men aren’t nearly as detailed with what they think they like and don’t like, if it’s a dress on a woman they love then they love it! 🙂

I love the pictures!! You look absolutely incredible – I agree with PP, don’t take anything away from your day by thinking any more about this.. you looked amazing and you married the love of your life.. just enjoy!! 🙂

@spice_01:  I think there is somethng deeper going on other than your dress regret after the wedding.

I don’t understand why you’d do this. Sometimes little things creep in about wedding regrets, but what good does it do to indulge them? You can’t go back in time and you’re wasting a sales person’s time by having no intention of buying the dress.
