Update for everyone: I was able to exchange my dress for one I have absolutely zero doubts about! I’m so relieved I found “the one” and that I’m going to feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable on my wedding day. This dress is seriously gorgeous; it is super flattering and slimming, has that romantic/whimsical vibe I always wanted, and feels like it’s much better (read: luxurious) quality than the first one! I am giddy like a schoolgirl for this dress! I was nervous because I had read about some women who tried to return/exchange their gowns to DB but weren’t able to. For me, the exchange process was a total breeze, other than having to go to two stores to make it happen. The new dress cost less than the original plus I had a belt, and I returned both and was able to get a veil and shoes that match the dress. I’m as excited about this dress as I am about my engagement ring! Everyone who has seen the new dress loves it and has said the other one can’t even compare to it! I can’t wait to wear this dress!! Some advice for DB brides: If you have a dress from DB that you’re dissatisfied with, go back to try on more gowns. If you find one you like, bring your original dress back (unaltered with tags attached) to the original store you purchased from. Ask to speak to a manager. If there is a price difference be prepared: if it costs more, try and find a coupon or sale going on so you can save some. If it costs less, go in with the style numbers of the additional products you want to purchase (like veil, satin robes, hair accessories, shoes, etc.) so that it’s all ready to go and you don’t have to scramble while on the spot, because you have to spend it right then and there.
