I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on dress regret lately and it interests me. Iblve been having some myself and am not sure how to deal with it. I bought my dress online without trying it on and then had all the beading issues and then my self consciousness 🙁 after all that I’m just not certain that the dress is even worth it. How do you know when its time to just throw in the towel and start searching for THE dress?

@augustdiybride12: I would go to a salon and try on accessories with your dress. It might make you fall in love with it again. I think you have a lovely dress. (I suspect the dress is not zipped up in the back because you have your hand back there and it looks like you’re holding it up.) Have you taken pictures where you’re wearing the right undergarmets and shoes? It makes a big difference.

I had dress regret almost from the first day after I bought my first dress, but I waited months before doing anything about it. I tried it on with different friends at different times and no matter what they said I always had the same nagging, unsure, negative feeling. I knew I had bought it too impulsively cuz I had been on a spontaneous trip to NYC and it was just the first store I went to and the only dress in the store that I liked. Finally when I was getting close to the point where it would be too late to get a new one, I put it up for sale and started looking. It took about month to sell it and coincidentally the week I received the money for it was the week I also found THE ONE! I can also say that the day I made the decision to sell and look for a new one, I felt a huge sense of relief!!

is this the Jenna dress? I think it looks great on you! Also, just a suggestion, maybe you can wear a petticoat under so it’ll look “full.” I agree w/ accherlover – put all the accesories, ie, veil, hair clip, bracelet, earings, and you’ll defintaley see it in a different light. By the way, IMO, I’d definately wear big blingy necklace!
