So im never the type to allow others opinions to sway my decisions but a lot of bees are bashing on the divina for many reasons. I ordered my Divina in August, before it was in most stores. I dont care that its popular but since there are so many negative remarks about this dress on the bee, maybe im missing something?? It really has brought me down along with my opinion of a dress i was once obsessed with.
Opinions of me in the dress? Im about 10lbs heavier than normal in these pictures as well. Should i try on other dresses? Or am i being an emotional bride?
Thanks! Oh and sorry that the picture is so big. I cannot figure out how to resize on my ipad.

You look absolutely stunning! The dress is SO flattering to your body. Honestly, it is popular for a reason (because it is a gorgeous dress).

I think you look absolutely lovely! I’m fairly sure that a lot of the hating of the Divina dress is partly due to jealousy. It’s a very pretty and almost universally flattering dress so maybe some brides are having dress regret and wish they had this one. I don’t think that you have anything to regret here. 🙂

@IUrebekah3RT: I’m so sorry that the negative views here have caused you to like your dress any better. When I first scrolled down and saw the pic, I was like WOW that’s a FANTASTIC dress, how is she having dress regret?! And then I recognized the ruffles and saw it was the Divina (I was going to ask, I like to pin every dress I like lol). I’m shocked that you’re having dress regret. I think this is a great, GREAT dress and it looks LOVELY on you. The ruffles are really magnificent. While I truly love ruffles, I’m very particular about the type of ruffles. I also think this dress is super flattering on you and you look bangin’ in the dress! Do NOT change it! What would you even change it to??? Don’t let some bees who don’t like popular dresses for the sake of their popularity upset you!

I think this dress looks stunning on you! It gives you fantastic curves and I’m not usually one for ruffles but I think it’s gorgeous. You fell in love with this dress for a reason, don’t let others opinions change that!

You look fantastic in that dress!

Thanks everyone. Its so silly that i allowed others opinions to affect my emotions. I never ever allow others opinions to affect mine in other parts of my life – especially my clothing!! I guess weddings are just different. I doubt many bees realize how hurtful their comments can be!

Sorry, but Divina is a beautiful dress and I don’t give a hoot if it is the most popular dress in the world or a knock-off of another dress or whatever else those nay-sayers were saying about it.
Divina is a beautiful dress and you look stunning in it. Don’t worry about it. I assure you, no one at your wedding is going to think anything negative about your dress. All they are going to think and say is how stunning a bride you make!
Exactly, I don’t think they realize how hurtful their comments were, because probably, to them, they were just bashing a dress and didn’t think that other brides actually CHOSE this dress. Makes me wonder how they would feel if we started bashing their dress of choice.

I must not have read any of them because I am a little lost on it. This means my opinion is still fresh and unswayed, 😀 I see absolutely nothing wrong with the dress or with you IN the dress. It’s a beautiful design that I have seen many times online now and have never had a negative thought about. You looked beamingly happy in it and I think it is very flattering to your body. So I say, “SCREW ‘EM!”

it is stunning on you and i am obsessed with the dress – it is gorgeous! Who cares if it’s popular?! Haters hate on this dress was made for you!

How do you feel in the dress?? Still amazing?? I’m not into ruffles how ever i appriciate the beauty of the dress.
Dress regret is a horrible feeling and we feel this mass pressure that this dress that we wear for one day has to be absolutly perfect!! But we are a million differant women and each have a million things that we think make the right dress right.
I got told that is is actually becoming a sickness for real with brides, all the pictures we flood ourselves with on the internet, especially after be get our dress. We question ourselves because we keep looking at more dresses and it creates doubt.
Love the dress! You look gorgeous in it!!

@IUrebekah3RT: I think you look stunning, and have nothing to worry about!
I was responsible for starting one of those threads that “bashed” the Divina even though that definitely was NOT my intention at all!! The point of my post was originally trying to figure out why certain dresses were soooo crazy popular while so many other beautiful gowns went totally unnoticed. I named the Divina and Adorae as examples of super popular dresses and now regret having named any dresses directly because of all the feelings I inadvertently hurt in doing so. I’m sorry for that, if my post was one of the ones you are referring to. I never EVER meant to hurt anyone’s feelings! 🙁
I personally could never have chosen the Adorae or Divina because I have so many friends also engaged and dress shopping, several of which have chosen one of these two dresses. I wanted something more unique, and not something that all of my friends would have already seen or recognized. But, that’s ME, and I realize not everyone has that many friends/guests who will be familiar with wedding dresses. and I DON’T think either dress is ugly in any way!
If my post was one of the ones that made you second-guess your decision, PLEASE don’t have any regrets! You look absolutely amazing, and don’t pay any mind to nay-sayers. The only nay I meant to say in my post was that I (personally) would not want a super popular dress. And it came out all sorts of wrong. 🙁 So I am sorry, and I hope you still feel as gorgeous as you look in that dress!!
