Actually, I love Dress #1 just as it is on you, and I wouldn’t change it to look like #2. I even like the sash. It’s quite flattering, feminine, and just gorgeous…

#2 has too sharp of lines for my taste…and I’m not a fan of the sash at all.

@Maurasaurus:  *HUGS* Dress regret sucks.  I said that I wasn’t going to be the bride that bought 2 dresses, and I totally bought a second dress lol.  That being said, I think you should talk to the seamstress first.  When I changed dresses, I got an estimate for what it would cost to alter it.  Because the cost of the alterations was over 60% of what the cost of a new dress would be, I simply opted for the second dress.  Since your dresses are somewhat similar, it might not cost as much for you to alter it.  Both of them look beautiful on you though.

I like dress 1, but honestly I do not see a very big difference between the two! Is there anyway a little of the bottom volume can be removed in dress one? Maybe with the addition of the right accessories (like a champagne sash) you will start to love the original more.

I voted for #1 and to keep the shape. With that being said, was there any crinoline in the first dress? If so, just have them remove it and it should make it less full which is what you want. This is a super easy fix (I’ve done it myself to a bridesmaid dress that had a single layer of crinoline). If you decide after they remove it that you like the original shape better, they can easily sewn it back on.

I agree with the others.  Dress #1 flatters your figure better than dress #2.  They are very similar anyway – I expected when you said “dress regret” to see a completely different style dress.  Since they are so similar, I would keep #1.

I like dress #1 and honestly, there’s not enough difference to ditch that one and got for #2. You can always get your dress altered to be a slimmer fit and if you like the champagne belt, I’m sure you and your seamstress can figure something out!

OMG they are crazy similar.  Keep the dress you have and get the champagne sash if you really like it.

I absolutely adore dress #1 on you. It’s so flattering, soft, romantic, really bridal and that sash is perfect. I don’t think dress #2 does as much for your figure. If you wanted dress #1 a little more fitted, could they take it in a bit at the hips?

I like dress 1. I think you can get a really pretty sash to go with it and you can always have alterations take out some of the crinoline to make it less poofy
