I love both dresses on you, but the high neckline of the first dress seems to be making you a bit uncomfortable. Your body language speaks volumes in that second photo.
I’m in the second dress camp, I think it’s slightly more flattering (as v-necks generally are versus high necklines on most people) and you just look happier/more confident in it.
Please keep the one you have. You honestly look soooooooo much more amazing in it 🙂
@mariana17: It looks like you can easily modify the dress you have to look like the dress you want. Just take it to a seamstress and see what they say! Both are stunning.
If you want to make your dress look “younger”, you could try removing the closed neck part and putting a sparkly belt on.
if you don’t mind losing the money, I think it’s worth it so you don’t regret.
LOVE the first dress. It’s so grand and classy. Although the 2nd dress is also nice and looks beautiful on you, I feel like I have seen that dress a million times. I was not “wow” by it.
I think you need to do 1) what your gut is telling you 2) wear what YOU want to wear
I had the same problem I found a dress and liked it but then found a second dress and LOVED it. They looked similar on the top, but I just knew that I would regret it if I didn’t go with the one I loved. I lost a little money, but it was worth it to me.
I love the 2nd dress. Both are beautiful, but I find the 2nd more flattering on you.
Totally voting second dress here – I think the first one is a beautiful dress, but I think you are right in that the second is much more age appropriate. And it looks stunning on you!
I absolutely love the second but it’s not my $$$ I totally understand your predicament. I wish I could help more but I think it all comes down to your $$$ situation if you can spare a few hundred dollars to have the dress of you dreams that’s what I would do.
I love the first dress!! I think altering the neckline is a very good option 🙂 Good luck!
I voted worth it even though I prefer your first choice. It would be different if you had never tried the second one on, but now you may never get it out of your head. I had dress regret and I did buy a second one, so maybe I am biased, but I also spoke to some other girls before I did, and any of them that had regret before the wedding wished they had gone with the second one.
Unless you are super strapped for cash, a year from now you probably aren’t going to regret the loss of money on the first one, you may regret wearing a dress you didn’t love.
